#1 picks are worth so much more in the new agreement. Whoever is running the Raiders now is much crazier than Al.

The beauty of this statement is that it's Al's son running the team currently.

So he's got to be in his 60s or so. Ought to be fun for Oakland fans

A gift from the gambling gods, to be sure.

bear in mind that they're playing Kansas City...

There's a chance Kansas City doesn't suck as much as we thought a month ago though. They've gotten it together a little bit the last few weeks and will be .500 if they win Sunday.

The scoop is that the Raiders plan on starting Carson Palmer, sporting his college number from USC in #3, Sunday when they face the Chiefs. The fact Palmer's starting right away makes you wonder what they REALLY think of backup Kyle Boller & rookie Terrelle Pryor. It can't be good for Boller and Pryor, that's for sure...

I think that the Raiders believe that Palmer is a better option at QB than Boller or Pryor.

I also think that this is the reason they gave up a #1 and a #1 or #2 draft pick for Palmer.

Agreed, Mike Brown is a regular Doyle Brunson at the NFL negotiating table.

Mike Brown wasn't about to give Carson Palmer away, despite wanting out of Cincinnati for quite sometime.

"Sources" say he's not starting.

After a couple series of the GOAT Kyle Boller, he will be in there.

BOLD PREDICTION: Carson Palmer is in the game by the end of the first quarter. He will be out for the season with an injury by the end of the game.

If Campbell doesn't break his collarbone, this deal doesn't happen and the Bengals don't end up with a first round pick in '12 and and a first or second in '13.

The irony is that is collarbone was broken by the Browns. Thank you Cleveland.

Adding to the irony of the Palmer for a #1 and a #2 further . . . Hue Jackson signed on as an assistant coach with the Bengals. Looks like he knew what he was doing after all!
