I'm sorry, NFL, but I've got a date w/ Tina Fey that night.

The MAC games were better too.

Just bumping this for the Owner's meetings that are this week, I wonder if we get any of the NFL Schedule released too.

They use to announce some of Week 1 matchups and THanksgiving games.

To add, I may it not matter to some people, but maybe the pre-season schedule.

Fuck that entire goddam division (except Eli because he is very good)

The 2012 NFL schedule will start with the Dallas Cowboys visiting the New York Giants. The NFL announced only the first game of the 2012 NFL season, which will be played on Wednesday, September 5 (the first Wednesday NFL game since 1948).

Since 2004 it's been NFL tradition for the defending Super Bowl champions to host the first game of the season on Thursday, before the rest of the games that weekend. The defending champs are 8-0 in these games.

The Giants swept the Cowboys in 2011, including a playoff-clinching Week 17 victory, but only finished one game better than them on the season. But that one game was enough for a playoff spot and eventual Super Bowl run. This should be a competitive game.

After the Cowboys, the Giants have a very difficult schedule. They'll play all three of the other NFC division winners -- Saints, Packers and 49ers -- as well as everyone in their own division twice. They'll also face the Falcons, Steelers, Ravens and Bengals.

Guys, we knew the Giants would be playing in the first regular season game, but the Cowboys as the opposition and not the previous year's Super Bowl Champion Packers? I'm a little surprised...

I don't think the antitrust exemption lets them do that.

Kinda Surprised no Friday? Thursday Night, espn has misc. college football night...didnt think the NFl would piss off the college feeder system like that?

Friday nights....HS football! We now know what they value more?

You can point the finger at President Obama and the Democratic National Convention for the NFL starting on Wednesday, September 5th, instead of Thursday, September 6th for the NFL kicking off on a Wednesday. It is an election year, you know...

The NFL's antitrust exemption says no Friday night games during high school season and no Saturday games during college season. Of course, the antitrust exemption also said you're not allowed to relocate, and the Raiders successfully shat all over that part, so who knows.

Already a Tweet from a 49ers players, 49ers at Packers Week 1 Sunday night, have to see if true. I thought that would be more of a spot for the Peyton Manning led Broncos.

They have 2 Monday Night games the first week. I bet you see the Broncos as the 2nd MNF game with an AFC West match up.

Second half of the opening MNF doubleheader is almost always the Broncos, Raiders, or both, I feel.

You guys could be right, but I just wonder if your the other networks, don't you try to get Peyton's first game as a Bronco.

If CBS got it, it would be a road game, since they don't have the late game Week 1.

Fox would have a special one in Saints at Broncos.

I thought it would be Sunday Night game possibly vs Chargers, but I did see something that could be your 2nd Monday Night game.

Just looking at the team's schedules, if they aren't worried about moving, the Vikings could possibly start 7-3 or 8-2, then lose the last 6.

The 49ers after there great season, get a tough start. COuld be 0-4 hosting the Bills, most people could say they win at Minnesota, but if there 0-2 going on the road across country, never sure.
