Weird

NCAA Investigation.

He's borrowing a page from Pete Carroll's playbook. When the NCAA investigated USC football, that's when Carroll left for Seattle. Same thing here with Chip Kelly bolting Oregon for Philadelphia. He bailed out and left the likely NCAA sanctions to whoever the next head coach in Eugene will be.

Time & opportunities are running out for the 2012 class of head coaching retreads...Lovie, Norv, Romeo, & Chan.

You can't really put Lovie in the retread category. He's only had 1 head coaching gig. A retread is a guy who's coaching his 3rd or 4th team now. If you do a google search for NFL retread coach, the #1 result should be Norv Turner, or Romeo Crennal.

You're probably right. But I think Lovie is viewed as being in the same tier with the retreads. You gotta wonder if he is getting interviews only to satisfy the Rooney rule. I mean both Buffalo & Cleveland said no. Will Philly or San Diego say yes? We'll see.

So Philly, San Diego, Buffalo & Cleveland all said no to Lovie. So much for Lovie being a hot commodity. He's done as an NFL head coach. Lovie joins Wanny & Jauron in the Peter Principle club.
If you are a Defensive minded NFL coach, you're not getting an NFL head coaching job anytime soon.

Defensive coordinator in Seattle this past season. Gus Bradley has his work cut out for him down in Jacksonville. They've had a lot of empty seats at what's now called Everbank Field, local TV blackouts on Sundays, a bad QB in Blaine Gabbert & Jacksonville has been mentioned in the NFL's ongoing talk of relocation to Los Angeles. Not sure how long he'll last down there.

Wanny and Jauron both got 2nd head coaching gigs in the NFL. Wanny got a third in College.

Sounds like Arians has accepted the job, and their defensive coordinator Horton isn't happy, there was a thoguht he could get the job.

Does Horton now go to Philly or CHicago for Defensive Coordinator.
