So hell no.

Curtis Martin was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2012.

And if he plays anywhere but New York (or Dallas), imo he wouldn't haven't gotten in.

Hall of Very Good/Consistent/Professional/Long term period.

He played for the Patriots for three seasons.

Would have never guessed it, but looking at the numbers. Gore is no doubt a Hall of Famer.

Even if you use Curtis Martin as the low-water mark for HOF running backs, Frank Gore doesn't measure up. Martin was better.

Can they be worse than Hester's?

A friend of the family worked in a school district where some of Hester's family members were students. She said it seems to be a hereditary issue, all as dumb as a box of rocks.

Frank Gore is the third best back on that list.

Emmit gets too much hate. Overcorrection to him being overrated during their dynasty run

Give Gore that line and he'd over produce Smith.

The HOF is for special, generational talent. Gore doesn't really belong but maybe you could put him in the "Not Quite HOF, but really durable, and steady" wing.

I've become more convinced he belongs since this thread was made. He did have a ~1700 yard season during his largely steady career. And I also think just as we're downplaying passing counting stats during this era, there may be good reason to value rushing counting stats more since it's an aspect of the game that's become so underemphasized. At the very least, I'm still loads more amenable to the argument that he belongs than I am for Witten, who seems to have an army of obnoxious Dallas fans who want to put him in the same class as Gates, Gonzalez, and Gronk.

Yes. Very productive career at a position that ruins most guys with in 5 years.

3rd place all time? Can't keep him out then. As eye rolling as the "greatest ability is availability" trope is, for an NFL running back it's sure near the top.

To me all of the HOF's are watered down and if you were to blow it all up and start over, I'd be willing to purge over half of them and only include the truly great, even if that meant years were nobody is getting in. I'd also get rid of the "first-ballot, second-ballot" political bullshit. Either you belong or you don't. If you didn't belong in year one of eligibility you shouldn't all of a sudden belong in in year three. Asshole reporters abusing their voting rights (especially in baseball) by not voting for a player for a year or two or more because the player was mean to him 20 years ago is bullshit.

Did people seriously not know Gore accumulated a large amount of rushing yards all these years..?

As for HoF I feel like he’s about there, after his knee injury in college I’m surprised he’s been around this long tho.. he lost his spot to Willis McGahee that year.. shit seems like it was 30 years ago lol

One of the best Boers shows was him kicking people out of the basketball Hall Of Fame... maybe 20% he kept in there.
