Tough call.. he had a great start to his career.. led the NFL in pass breakups his 2nd year, led the NFL in INT’s his 3rd year.. was 1st team All Pro 3 of his 1st four years but.. tapered off after that and was just ‘good’ for a long time. Being on an all time single season defense that won an SB will add to his resume as well but I’m not sure it gets him in.
Fwiw I hate using Pro-Bowls to help determine these things, they’re just fan votes really. All Pro is at least peer based (and coaches too I believe) so I put much more stock in that.
Sherman might get in. But if so, it really begs the question of.. should a guy like Peanut be in there too? I mean, one can argue that Peanut changed the game a little with the ‘Peanut punch’ which you see guys doing all the time now.
