Death is not an option, nor is throwing Ginny from the Willie Tower. For OC, Tice or Martz?

I thought I heard The SCORE's own Terry Boers mention that Bears' head coach Lovie Smith suggested Mike Martz's name to fill the Bears' Offensive Coordinator position, but was turned down by G.M. Jerry Angelo late last week. That said, if Vikings' QB Coach Kevin Rogers turns down the Bears next, the newly hired Offensive Line Coach Mike Tice has gotta be the favorite to take over the O.C. duties...by default.

Tice is a straight up Moondick and I wouldn't want him anywhere near this team, which means he'll probably be the head Coach soon.

Many that is true, but an incomplete statement.

If they haven't considered Martz to this point, I think it's highly unlikely that they turn to him now.

You have to know Lovie will go back to Jerry and say Martz is the only one for this team.

Yesterday on "Boers & Bernstein", I heard Hub suggest something about the Bears trying again to at least seek permission to talk to Packers' QB Coach Tom Clements if Kevin Rogers and other coaches say "No thanks" to a search rapidly going nowhere. Although the Packers said no the first time, Hub mentioned something about the Bears giving up a 4th Round Draft Pick to the Packers if it meant at least talking to Clements about the Offensive Coordinator position...It seems like wishful thinking at best...

Way to go Jerry! Trade all of our draft picks for a QB that's about to be killed, a dead guy, and an OC! That's one hell of a way to run a draft.

That will not happen. Hub's reaching quite a bit there.
