For discussion purposes, it would seem that the NFC Central (& old North) is/was a shit division....with teams followed (despite the temp???) by remarkably creepy/deluded fans.....as well.

So what's your point?!?

Same goes for Jaws. He talks but says nothing. He knows that Gruden has stolen the show.

i think the saints are the early-mid 2000's colts. they are awesome at home (and yeah they're going to run up the score against the falcons and i don't have a problem with that) or in a dome; but they are very mortal on the road, in the elements. they didn't have one convincing win on the road outdoors this year.

both payton and double g are raging arrogant pricks; but at least payton can back it up. williams' defense is extremely fickle, and inconsistent.

I'm hardly jealous of the Saints. I generally have no problem with them. They are starting to get the Colts/manning vibe to them though where as I liked them better during their super bowl year. I was just acknowledging that there was some serious stat whoring by Payton and Brees. Brady could have the record if it was his sole focus as it seemed it was for Payton, Brees and ESPN. Rodgers probably could have too with the amount of times I saw Flynner get in and them just run the ball in the 4th quarter to end the game like a normal NFL team with a shred of class would do.

Green Bay was almost too nice calling off the dogs a couple times in the 4th quarter, seeing 21 point leads shrink to 7.

Ya, the defense somehow interpreted that as a go ahead for them to dial it down a few more notches as well and that resulted in some very quick td's for the other team.

never said you were jealous...was speaking to schmitty..who i assume is a bears fan...but i think the saints are better than the colts were..manning pissed the bed every year in the playoffs and brees is better than manning...3 qbs will break marinos record this year..but rodgers and brady will do it outdoors.

There it is!

I didn't notice any complaints when this board, and ESPN was filled with people saying that Rodgers is having the greatest 8 game stretch in the history of the universe. All of a sudden though, another QB comes in and does well and you seem to take it personally. Yeah, they probably didn't have to throw for 33 yards up 22 points but it's not like they are the first team to pass it up 3 scores. I'm sure the kind and gentle Packers passed a few times up 22 points this year too. Prior to that drive, the Saints had 2 incomplete passes in two drives.

Aaron Rodgers will get his deserved MVP this year and everyone thinks he's great. No need to put down the accomplishments of Brees because it makes you sad that ESPN took a day off from the Aaron Rodgers love fest.

I don't have a good feeling about the game. They should roll them but they have 4 starters out, and that doesn't include the two idiots who got arrested for taking a boot off of their car for unpaid parking tickets. I'm worried they won't have any focus. I hope I'm wrong.

So all the ESPN people this morning that have been discussing if it was classless last night are secretly Packers/Rodgers fans that are jealous? For some reason I doubt that.

No, it's worthy of discussion. However, UMN exposed himself by bringing Rodgers into it and basically saying that if the Packers weren't so nice that Rodgers could have done it too. As you can see, even before the game, UMN was mad that Brees was getting the ESPN treatment.

Realistically though, no Packers fan should complain about a QB getting ESPN love. It's hard to imagine any team getting the kind of attention from ESPN that Favre and then Rodgers got.

I wonder if Spaulding has changed her stance from a few years back about Brees being a HoF'er.

rodgers is the best qb in the league but brees and brady are very close..all three have sharp coaches that is why they have all hoisted a superbowl trophy...would be great to have any of the three here. drew brees is a hall of famer no doubt.

well even payton pretty much admitted he didn't have to run the score up; he did it most likely because it was nationally televised and wanted to give his QB the spotlight.

it doesn't matter...they will most likely get the 3rd seed and once they go on the road, it's most likely all over.

and brees has had some dumb throw moments (even in a dome), like manning has. first thought that comes to me is last year's atlanta game they won 17-14. brees tries a desperate toss that goes right into the hands of a falcons DT for a pick 6. and he's done it before.

brees has done more with less than manning..he is a better qb..all qb's make dumb throws every once in a while..peyton pretty much every year wet the beds in the playoffs. and usually at home

There's word today that Jon Gruden is leaving the "Monday Night Football" booth, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune, to make a return to coaching. Needless to say, Gruden may be one of the few qualified candidates to roam an NFL sidelines again with several jobs around the league opening up as soon as this season ends. He will be in demand, and if he leaves, here's hoping ESPN doesn't replace him in the booth and keeps Mike Tirico & Ron Jaworski as a two-man.

for sure he does..but manning had more..edgeren james and dallas clark..wayne and harrison better than saints..brees recently got graham and his best wideout is not as good as wayne or harrison.

well, he has better possession receivers. lance moore is an acrobat. colston has great hands and focus. henderson has speed. meachem has size and good hands. they're all pretty good route runners. brees does make guys better than they probably are, but he has had some great guys to work with, too. and yeah jimmy graham could be somethin special.

it's a shame they run a running back by committee because if any of these guys could develop, they could be top 10 running backs. especially pierre thomas. none of them can stay healthy, either, though.
