Del Rio's a quarter away from keeping Tom Brady and the Patriots out of the end zone for an entire playoff game.

Is Brady healthy? He's missed some easy throws.

Vreen did not go for the one of the middle, he pulled up some when he saw the defender coming.

But you are right, he hasn't looked himself in this game.

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady witnessed several of his teammates sustain major injuries this season. Apparently, he was determined not to join that list.

Brady sustained minor ligament damage in his throwing hand back in October and fought through the pain, according to NFL Network reporter Albert Breer. The injury did not prevent Brady from leading New England to the AFC championship on Sunday.

Conspiracy theorists, you can finally sleep easy tonight.

You were right.

Many fans took a screen shot of Brady’s throwing hand during a game against the Miami Dolphins on October 27. Brady’s hand appeared to be swollen, but he downplayed that apparent injury after the game. New England trailed by 14 points at halftime before rallying for a 27-17 victory.

Most NFL players fight through some sort of injury during the NFL season, so this nothing new. However, Brady has a reputation for being a “pretty boy," but fighting through this injury showed his toughness.

Dunno, but, yeah, he's missing a lot. Could be the pressure from Denver's D getting to him.

Michael Keaton's in the Robocop remake. Wonder what happened to him. Might be the one movie I see in a theater in 2014.

So if Belichick takes the 3 points when down 20-3 instead of going for it and failing on 4th and 2....

Didn't matter because their defense hasn't stopped them all day.

Eli's gonna be fun the next two weeks, he wasn't very convincing trying to be happy for Peyton in that shot.

I guess, still...wonder if yokels on Bahstan sports talk radio will be 2nd guessing Belichick on that call this week. Belichick's been getting away with some questionable coaching calls lately, deferring to the Broncos in OT of their regular season game seems insane, but it worked out. Image

no turnovers for either team? Good game. Peyton had to be and was his best to beat the best ever, Tom Brady.

Seriously. That game wasn't nearly as close as the score. Pats D may as well have stayed in the locker room and played canasta for three hours.

Going for it is the better call anyway. Kicking there is the same risk-averse nonsense that the majority of NFL coaches do even though it 20-6 isn't exactly a desirable position either. Fox's 19-yard field goal as well as his timeout at the end of the first half were both far worse than Belichick going for it.

So the winning coach's decision-making was far worse than the losing coach's?

Yes you can make poor decisions in football as in any other sport and still win the game. That doesn't mean those decisions were correct unless you're engaging in the most simplistic kind of results-oriented thinking. The mere fact that Fox's questionable decisions did not come back to bite him in the ass does not change the fact that they were questionable.

What's questionable about winning.

Fox goes for it and doesn't make it, take 3 points off the board for the Broncos.

Belichick kicks the FG instead of going for it and not making it, add 3 points to the Pats score.

Fox goes for it and makes and the game ends far earlier than it did. Fox doesn't take a timeout before kicking a field goal, and he doesn't even have to worry about Brady possibly leading the Patriots down the field. Justifying Fox's decisions simply because he happened to win the game is like saying the guy who shoves with 72 offsuit pre-flop made the right decision because the flop came 777.

It's pretty scary when Patrick Willis is the third best LB on his team.

that's a really good point. Given Manning's performance, that game felt like it should've been a blow out but it ended up being a bit of nail-biter for the Broncos at the end.

Wilson cannot do come from behind victories without the defense scoring or creating a short field. Niners win.

If Seattle wins this game, I don't know how Manning is ever going to complete a pass against them. These guys are some mean bastages covering receivers.

It's weird how irrelevant kick returns have become. Hester got in at just the right time.
