Sex Ryan is a stubborn son of a bitch.

Tebow would have won that game.

He'll get his shot. If they don't pull Sanchez against the Colts this week, they'll let him hang himself against the Pats and start Tebow against the Dolphins.

Apparently, you and Jon Gruden were watching a different game than I was. The WR was three yards ahead of the DB, and he had to reach back for the underthrown ball, which was tipped. If that ball was right on the money, it was six points.

It's getting dangerously close to Tebow time once again.

JBills and BD may actually start posting again about football.

Dallas at Philly is one of the least compelling football matches I've seen all year... until tomorrow nights game, which is scheduled to suck.

Jets against anyone is worse.

I really wish I hadn't been stripped of my Bears fandom. At least my Giants won the Super Bowl. My Jets are tough to watch though.

In all seriousness, that article is 17 different kinds of bullshit. A bunch of anonymous losers calling out a backup as a no talent bum when they are a bunch of no talent bums themselves. At least Tebow made the playoffs last year, unlike a certain crew that wishes to remain anonymous and, oh yeah, he did it by beating the Jets ass by running "that Wildcat shit."

I think they're still pissed about losing to him last year and missing the playoffs.

And then this -“It would take extreme poor play. . . . like a five-interception game,” said a prominent member of the organization. “Something where it was just ridiculous. It would take Mark to totally just sh-- the bed and become unglued (before there was a quarterback change).”

 Open your eyes! He's been shitting the bed for weeks. He sucks and the only starter with a lower rating than him this year is the 63-year-old rookie Brandon Weeden. I'll give Matt Slauson credit. At least he went on the record. The rest of that is crap from a crap team against a guy that hasn't even played yet.

Agreed, weak and probably bullshit..I am sure there are guys jealous of Tebows fame since he blows...Still better than Sanchez..now I hope Rex is fired..I would fire the g.M. for signing Sanchez to that deal as well.

Good post. It's hilarious that the Jets dont seem to realize what everyone else in the country realizes. He's not a better QB than either Kolb or Skelton, yet he has 10x more job security because his coach is a stubborn dumbass.

And that's pretty shitty that the Jets are continuing what they started last year with the ripping of teammates anonymously. That team and franchise should recieve less respect than any other team in the NFL right now.

Are they wrong though?

Also, wasn't Tebow supposed to be this great leader? You'd think if that was true this wouldn't happen.

I understand that my Jets are bad, but they clearly have no faith in Tebow. Neither did the Broncos who gave up on a QB who "lead" them to the playoffs and a win. Only two teams were interested in Tebow, and the Jets weren't even interested in him at QB.

Things don't look good for Tebow. This article just helps confirm it.

Quote:
“It’s not even close,” Slauson said. “All the other quarterbacks know it. I have all the confidence in Mark. We don’t really have a choice.”

Yes, Slauson is wrong. He's saying that the level of QB play exhibited by Mark Sanchez is significantly better than Tebow. That's not true. Both are really bad QBs. Tebow might even be better. He realistically couldn't really be much worse than Sanchez has been this season. Of course it's close.

Isn't the whole idea with Tebow this:
1) All he does is win.
2) His statistics don't matter, because all he does is win.

Well, Mark Sanchez has won a lot more and a lot bigger games than Tebow.

Also, most reports are that Tebow has regressed, at least in part to the stupid idea of his to actually get bigger and stronger.

The Jets were stupid not to sign Kyle Orton instead.

Mark Sanchez has had a much bigger sample size, and much more of an opportunity to win big games. He's awful this season, and he was awful last season. Im assuming even you cant argue that. Tim Tebow will most likely be bad if given the chance to start multiple seasons like Sanchez has, but the Jets might as well find out this season. We have four seasons worth of play to know that Sanchez sucks as an NFL QB. Give Tebow at least one full season to see if he sucks or not. His career QB rating is higher than Sanchez's, and that doesn't take into account running, so yes the Jets players were wrong for saying it's not even close between them. They are both bad, but Sanchez has proven it over a much longer period of time.

We know Tebow is bad too.

Sanchez only has a lower QB rating because Sanchez played as a rookie and was terrible. Last year, even at the height of Tebowmania, Sanchez was playing better than him.

I'd defend Rex Grossman over Tebow.

I'm not even really defending Sanchez. He sucks. It's that Tebow is so much worse. Even last year, when Tebow was lighting up the league, Sanchez was playing better.

He was a better passer than Tebow last season. Not sure he was a better player. Bottom line is that it's close, which was my point when you asked if the Jets players were wrong. Considering you love to argue but you're not debating that, I'll take it as a sign that you know the Jets players were wrong. And you think Tebow is regressing, although the few times he has gotten on the field this year dont necessarily support that claim, but we can all see very clearly that Sanchez is regressing. We see it every week. He's a terrible QB. Tebow most likely is too. Which is why it is absurd to suggest Sanchez is much better. Sanchez isnt much better than any QB in the NFL right now.

True, but BR isn't arguing that. He cant. He knows he should've read the article more carefully before suggesting everything the Jets players said was correct.
