I don’t have high hopes for Love outside of it’ll be more interesting than before if Rodgers goes down. QB is different tho and even the small chance he’s awesome makes it interesting tho.

They certainly could've had Love at some point in the second and not fired a shot across Rodgers bow like that. But then again, maybe that was the point.

Still the contract side of it is just totally baffling. I think they honestly panicked.

The Love pick was fucking terrible but you've got no choice but to roll with it. There's really no justification for it at all. Had the Packers not drafted him there I'm not sure how much further he would've fallen. Eason has a better arm than Love and he hasn't even been picked yet.

That’s because Eason unequivocally sucks

The Derrick Henry Lite pick makes up for it. They’ll drag Rodgers to his Elway/Terrell Davis moment kicking and screaming

Last three picks were OL. Clearly trying to become a bigger, tougher team.

Boomer destroying the Packers over the Love pick.

I actually like the Runyan pick. He’s fast, strong and smart.

Yeah he was someone I hoped the Bears might consider late. That is a good pick.

Im not crazy about the Love pick and it’s truly baffling why they completely ignored WR but overall I’m not terribly upset.

They were talking about Dillon today on Move the Sticks podcast. They did a good job breaking down his running style.

It was a really weird draft by Gute until you look at the entire list. Aside from Love he got a bunch of guys that swing big ass hammers. This is not going to be the finesse Packers team of the past that got their asses handed to them. He wants them to line up and knock the shit out of you play after play after play. It will be interesting to see how much more the offense changes next year. I think he wants to be the 49ers with a better passing game and a worse defense but still as physical.

The more I think about it the more I’m fine with it. QB is so much more important than any other position that you almost can’t focus too many resources into the position.

The Colts were trying to trade into the same spot to get him in the 1st. There is plenty of room on the bandwagon.

Most mock drafts had had him 1st round or at worst early 2nd round. You are just plain wrong of where he would be picked, period. Sure he might ultimately suck but that doesn’t change the fact that you’re simply wrong about where he was rated.

I definitely appreciate your willingness to shit on the Packers. But lets be realistic here. Any QB coming out of college could have a clip just like that of bad plays. Love was graded as a 1st/2nd round QB in this draft. There was a lot of speculation that New England was interested. There is no way he was lasting until the place Eason went.

Now with that said, his decision making is really bad at times and his footwork is awful sometimes. If he can get those things worked out he has potential. He can make some amazing throws.

Yeah, and mock drafts had Eason and Fromm going in the second too.

There were three quarterbacks in this draft people wanted. Its a fact that Indy, nor anyone else, was going to trade up for him. Nobody really wanted him except Green Bay.

Its just like Cole Kmet and the Bears, except we didn't give the middle finger to one of the best players ever to don a Bears uniform by picking Cole Kmet.

Its all hype. People scrounging for the next Mahomes thinking anyone with the gunslinger qualities can be carved.

Fact is that since Favre the gunslinger type QB's have generally had the ceiling of Jay Cutler, Mahomes was the exception not the rule.

You are all over the place with this stuff tho. One day you are telling all of us how Herbert sucks, then you are convincing yourself the Bears need to trade up to get him. One minute you are calling Fromm noodle arm the next you are saying the Bears should take him.

The reality is grading/evaluating QBs is the hardest thing to do for teams. There is no good way of predicting how guys will do. Love maybe great. Love maybe horrible.

Lets just sit back and watch the show as Rodgers and his coach try to make things work for this coming year.

I dig the run on OL at the end. Keep that pipeline stocked with bulldozers.

Not drafting a WR wasn't my issue. I wish Packers did a better job filling in their ILB depth chart.

Big fan of the Love pick. I have no idea if he's any good. Comforting to know they're trying balance both present AND future.
