He's great @ winning close games... That's what he is...

Last week was close. The Buffalo game was close before he threw consecutive pick 6's in the 4th quarter. So maybe a better way to say it is he's just great at winning close games except when he loses close games?

Tebow's 125.6 passer rating today is a Broncos franchise record in a playoff game, Elway's best was 120.7

The great thing about the Broncos beating Pittsburgh today is Tebow beating Rothlisburger. The most liked player in the NFL beating one of the most disliked. The good guy beating the bad guy. The hero beating the villain.
If ever there was a match up to root for Tebow, this was it.

Speaking of Beg Ben, did anyone catch Chicago Tribune Live a few weeks ago when Matt Bowen was on the show? Kaplan asked the panel to name the one QB they would choose if they had one game to win. Guess who Bowen picked? Not A-Rod...not Brees...not Brady...Not Manning...not Rivers... he picks fucking Ben Rothlisburger. Says he is the best clutch big game QB in the NFL. I turned the show off but I'm sure Matt went on to remind everyone that he played in the NFL for the Rams.

Bowen isn't the only one with that opinion, and you saw why in the 2nd half today. Ben is one of the most clutch players in the league.

Well Bowen & the others are wrong. Tebow outplayed Ben today. Are you telling me that you wouldnt pick A-Rod, Brees, Brady or Manning before Ben??? Be honest.

No.

But for one game, it isn't an outlandish thought.

I would take Rodgers, Brady, and Brees if he was at home. I'd take Ben over Manning.

Yes, it is completely outlandish & ridiculous to even consider for 1 second choosing Ben over A-Rod, Brees, Brady or Manning.

I'm politely asking you to stop calling him A-Rod. And judging by their postseason records it's almost outlandish for you to opine that Manning is better than Ben for one big game. Also Brady hasn't won a playoff game in four years, fwiw.

You were the same guy in 1963 who kept yelling that Billy Wade outplayed YA Tittle in the championship game.

Supposedly so is Tebow.

Big Ben will go down as one of the best QB/team fits in NFL history. He's good, some of the time, but realistically if he put up those numbers with the Bengals he may be Carson Palmer.

Without looking it up, what would you guess the answers to these questions are for Ben?

1) Number of 300 yard games in the playoffs.
2) Number of 300 yard games in the playoffs in wins.
3) Number of games in the playoffs where he had at least 2 more touchdowns than interceptions
4) Number of games in the playoffs where he had the same or more interceptions than he did touchdowns

Answers:
1) 1
2) 0
3) 3
4) 8

Note: He has 14 total playoff games played.

Even in the Super Bowl, where he gets the "clutch" label, he's got 3 touchdowns, 5 interceptions, and an average of 214 yards a game.

I'm sorry, I'll take Peyton Manning, even with some of the bad games he's had in the playoffs.

Yes! This board was lacking Y.A. Tittle references.

Manning has a higher post season QB rating than Brady

Misleading though as he would run up the scores in the first two rounds with like 140-150 ratings, then he would meet the Patriots and throw up a 35

I hope Brady & the Pats beat the hell out of the Broncos. I don't like Tebow at all. I find him to be annoying and the coverage he gets to be equally as annoying.

He had a damn good game yesterday though.

I think that number is really a passer rating though, isn't it? If you think that a quarterback is simply a guy who passes a football, you really can't argue that Brady is better at it than Peyton Manning.

I'm indifferent to the guy. But how is that shit where he gets down on his knee after a big play really any different than a guy doing a stupid dance or an exaggerated spike of the ball? Maybe they should start penalizing him.

With all the criminal douche bags in the NFL I am amazed at the Tebow hate.
