This pick was stupid, had the Packers not traded up from the first round there was a weak argument to made that they drafted Love as a first round pick so they could lock in the fifth year option...but had they drafted him at 1.29 they would've had that anyways.

Even from a money perspective it doesn't make a ton of sense. That's $12.5m contract for a guy who is blocked by the player with the biggest overall contract in the sport (at least until Mahomes extends). Literally gave up a first round pick and a non-negligible amount of cap for a developmental project that could've been had twenty or so picks later.
