I can see Mitch maturing into a good QB in the NFL.

I think the entire Bears experience stunted his growth as a QB but now with a year of backing up and observing, if he gets another chance I think he would be serviceable.

I like Mike North's comparison of him and Ryan Tannehill.

Please God, no.

Mitch isn't as bad as we've seen, but he's not going to be anything close to HOF caliber.

He can clean the bathrooms in the Hall. That's about it.

Trash in college, trash in the pros.

He's better than every quarterback on your roster. Even with Nagy calling the plays.

I'd take Mitch as the starting QB for the Vikings on a cheap contract during the re-build. Trade Cousins for a #1 somewhere, draft the kid from Liberty as your future QB. Sign Mitch, hire the OC from Buffalo Daboll as the head coach and hire Pep Hamilton from the Texans as the OC.

I'd like to think you are right, but then I remember Matt Stafford last year and I'm not so sure.

Anyone who trades a #1 for Cousins would immediately be fi...Ryan Pace.

I tend to agree, but GM's/teams get desperate for QB's

I know stats aren't perfect, but the list of QB's with a higher rating this season than Cousins:
Rodgers
Burrow
Prescott

Cousins isn't worth a 1 but Stafford is worth two plus?

If Rodgers leaves this spring I think the Packers should acquire Cousins. I doubt 2 first round picks would hurt the Packers.

Isn't Cousins generally regarded as a total bum?

Cousins has already used up his "there may be something there...he's on a bad team, maybe just needs a change of scenery card". No one trading 1st round of him again.

Stafford has now the same mark on his resume.

Darnold's mark also done.

see the trend.

Cousins will return NOTHING in a trde. Vikings are stuck for one more year.

(Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky showing the world he means business by kneeling three straight times in his only appearance. The kid has a ton of promise, maybe I was wrong about him.

Take Cousins' career stats and compare them to every single QB in Bears history and its not even close. Cousins would have his number retired and multiple statues if he were a Bear. Imagine pissing all over Cousins only to realize that he is far superior to any QB your historic, storied and extremely old franchise has ever had. In over 100 years the Bears have not been able to produce a QB to halve let alone match the career production of Kirk Cousins.

Being better than bad doesn't make someone good.

The Bears have more Super Bowls than Kirk Cousins.

He's a loser bum. Which is why the Vikings are done with him.

Looking at stats won't tell us anything about Cousins, we all have eyes. Let's be honest, without Sid Luckman there would be no Aaron Rodgers. Our franchise had the 1st franchise/superstar quarterback in NFL history.

He's looking forward to his future after getting the stench of the Bears off of him for a year.

Quote:
“Going to Buffalo really opened my eyes,” (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky said. “After being in Chicago for four years, there was only one way I knew how to do things. [Being] in Buffalo and [having] a different way of doing things, you learn what’s possible. It helped me get back to instinctual football and using my talents rather than overthinking.”

To that end, (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky added that you can’t be afraid to make mistakes when playing QB.

“When guys are playing free, you can be at your best,” (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky said. “I wanted to learn how [the Bills] helped Josh, and I saw that firsthand.”

Maybe he never did and was just poorly coached and used in Chicago.

And he'll probably wind up in like Cleveland or Carolina.

I suspect he was poorly coached, not used well and also sucks.

New prediction;

Texans trade Watson.
Mitch goes to Houston and Lovie turns him into an All Pro, wins a Super Bowl and appears in another in a losing effort.
