George Paton. He's the one that hired the assistant for Hackett. He is afraid the new Wal-Mart owners are going to clean house after this debacle.

Elway is laughing his ass off right now at George Paton.

And Paton is laughing right back at Elway having not converting deferred salary into a percentage of team ownership which would've made him hundreds(?) of millions more.

I don't think so...

John Elway, an American football Executive for the Denver Broncos and former professional football quarterback, has a whopping net worth of $145 million. John, widely regarded as the greatest quarterback of all time, is also a College Football and the Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee

And if he is, he shouldn't be...

George Paton, an American football Executive for the Denver Broncos, has a net worth of $5 million.

Ok, but for $15MM up front and foregoing $21MM in deferred salary he could've had a twenty percent ownership of the Broncos. Seems like that's a billion dollars he missed out on with the recent sale.

How much more do you need after the first couple of Million at his age?

So what was your point in comparing Paton's net worth then?

That Paton may be laughing at him, but it's not about money.

I'm not sure the Steelers traveled to Miami.

The dolphins uniforms are fantastic. They should have NEVER changed them in the first place. What they are wearing tonight are an NFL classic and would be top-3 uniform in the league if they went back to it permanently.

The greener shade of teal is a much better look than the candyass unis they typically wear.

Colinsworth went full old man explaining why McDaniels appeals to the yutes despite not being a stereotypical NFL coach.

He’s aging way too quickly. Corpses like Michaels and Musberger seem spry by comparison.

Even if the Steelers don't have a replacement, they're going to fire Matt Canada during the bye week.

Their “well run organization” nonsense is about to run into a wall. They’re in QB hell.

??? this is the first I’ve seen of Pickett, I’ve seen a couple of their games with Mitch, he’s about 10 times better than Mitch in the small sample size that I’ve watched tonight.

He’s a guy. I’d say his best case career is Andy Dalton (who was a better college player with a better arm). I don’t think Kenny’s the guy who threw 3 picks against the Jets but I very much think he’s the guy who’ll top out with a win against a horrible Bucs teams.

Pickett isn't afraid. That goes a long way for young quarterbacks. I think he can be an everyman version of Herbert. You can win with that.

Not in a division with Burrow, Lamar and Watson.

That is a fair point. Burrow's coach is an idiot, and I still believe Watson is overrated.

I spent a chunk of my Saturday watching high school football in Wilmette. Those coaches were far more creative and effective than Matt Canada. Pickett was fine when Canada wasn't calling the plays.

It sounds like he's blaming the playcalling.

“We need more go balls. Like, damn,” Claypool said. “Not enough go balls. We’ve got playmakers. I haven’t had a go ball all year. George needs more, Tae needs more. I’m not saying that’s on the play calling. I’m just saying we need to find a way to scheme it up.”

I understand that Herbert has all the physical skills but I still don't get the over the top love for the guy who's got a modest record, no statement wins or playoff appearances.
