Doug Marrone leaves Syracuse for the Bills job, signs a 4 year contract. What is interesting is that Mike McCoy cancelled his interview with the Bills earlier today. I hope that might mean that the Bears interview went well.

Jaguars canned Mularkey.

No surprise. 2-14 in his only season as Jaguars' head coach, complete with the clueless Blaine Gabbert at QB.

After one season is a surprise. Not that he doesn't suck.

CBS Sports' Jason LaCanfora actually mentioned Mike Mularkey's end the other morning on "The Dan Patrick Show" with guest host Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated and now NBC Sports Radio Network. I think when the Jaguars hired a new GM from I believe Atlanta this morning, Mularkey's fate was sealed.

Chudzinksi hire looking much better after knee-jerk reaction. In his 1st year as the Browns OC he turned a 31st ranked offense into the 8th overall ranked offense with Derek Anderson. He also turned around the Panthers 32nd ranked offense into a top 10 unit with Cam Newton. So he's shown some versatility with his offensive philosophy. Hopefully the Browns still realize Brandon Weeden and Colt McCoy are dog shit and don't see them as the future.

For this year maybe. At least 2 of those 4 will be a head coach again at some point.

Norv Turner new Browns OC?

You can't really put Lovie in the retread category. He's only had 1 head coaching gig. A retread is a guy who's coaching his 3rd or 4th team now. If you do a google search for NFL retread coach, the #1 result should be Norv Turner, or Romeo Crennal.

You're probably right. But I think Lovie is viewed as being in the same tier with the retreads. You gotta wonder if he is getting interviews only to satisfy the Rooney rule. I mean both Buffalo & Cleveland said no. Will Philly or San Diego say yes? We'll see.

At this point, Lovie would probably demand a pretty high salary for HC. I don't think there are too many teams who are ready to dish out that type of cash when their roster's are in such bad shape.

Well, you can scratch Texas native Lovie Smith off the list for the Cowboys. He's supposed to interview today for the Chargers' head coaching job after interviewing for the Eagles yesterday.
