it's not comparable. the rams were doing something unheard of by offenses at that time, it was like playing madden on rookie. the 2013 NFL has a bunch of '99 Rams teams now. it's offense heavy.

as has been said in this thread, defenses in the late 90's were a hell of a lot more physical and damaging. look at what the titans did to them pointswise in the superbowl. they could only score 23 points. and actually, the titans probably should've won that game.

2013 Manning has below average arm strength. I'd bet most of D Thomas' big play receptions have come on that screen play they do so well. That being said, Warner probably doesn't beat Manning in QB intelligence, though I assume Warner was pretty smart himself. When both are equal, it's Manning, but yeah I'd probably take a 27 or 28 whatever year old Warner over this current version of Manning.
