Seriously. We all have $1,000 to bet. Fields under/over 3,200yds and 24 TD's. I'm guessing the under gets pounded.

I dont think Fields starts 17 games, this line is bad and he holds onto the ball too long.

Looks like he sealed the deal with a great performance today. Mitch is my quarterback.

There were a few big time throws, but despite the stats, it wasn't a "great" performance.

Their offensive line is dumb and brutal. I still can't tell if he reads zone defenses better. What has been clear is his deep ball has dramatically improved, and he looks comfortable.

Edit: I can't recall a quarterback battle where all of the quarterbacks played well. They had zero interceptions in the preseason.

(Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky starts this year. Plays well. The Steelers like Pickett and want to give him a chance next year. The Steelers trade (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky to the Packers for a second round pick as a replacement for Rodgers.

(Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky owns the Bears for the next ten years as Nas cheers on the Chicago Jaguars.

(Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky typically plays well against the Lions.

That was because of the rocket scientist. The rest of the NFL knew (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky struggled to recognize zone coverages, but Mstt Patricia played man the entire game.

No pressure

“I just think he’s a guy who people rally around,” said defensive tackle Cam Heyward of (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky, who arrived in free agency in March. “He’s all about team. He’s very bought in. He understands and Coach T says it, he’s carrying our hopes and dreams on every single play.

Provided he’s the main character in his own story, and keeps the standard as the standard, I think they’ll fit in just fine with Coach T.

Who has a better season Fields or (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky? Yards, TD/INTS and QB rating?

I heard John DeFlippio interviewed on the NFL network this weekend and they asked him about Fields and Mitch. He gives kind of a generic answer about Fields and with Mitch he starts to say how much he loved working with him, but backtracks and says "I loved working with Justin too" to cover himself. It was odd to hear him get so excited about Mitch.

This probably deserves its own thread. Fields has a greater leash. Neither has a great line. (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky has far better weapons. If the Steelers are winning, they're probably running the hell out of the ball, and (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky isn't passing much. The same is true for the Bears.

I think he will be competent at the position. Imagine being so lucky as to play for two signature franchises with the greatest fan bases in the game

There isn't a better organization in football than the Steelers

Not a great start but Steelers fans can appreciate an average qb performance that results in a win.

Mitch led not one, but two game winning drives in OT yesterday.

This is pretty funny, Take away the TD by Fitzpatrick and Mitch and the offense scored 16 points in 5 quarters..and the D forced 5 turnovers... this is exactly why he never saw that 5th year here and why he will be benched soon.. he ain't good.

The Steelers O-Line makes the Bears look like early 90's Cowboys.

He didn't turn the ball over and put them in scoring position twice in overtime. Made a good play with his legs on the final drive. We shall see.

It's clear (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky has a ceiling and that ceiling is 19-21 points. Still maintain he is an elite backup, not a starter.

Mitch is nothing more than "a guy" and is about to be tossed into the ash bin of history.

He'll play for another 5-10 years in the league and will be remembered by no one but traumatized Bears fans who forever will cling to the hollow refrain, "We could've gone all the way in 2018."
