That's actually a great analogy.

 After Thursday night, I'd say witnessing a Brady performance is more like watching my 7-year-old kid throw a temper tantrum.

we're a weak 1st place team, that's for sure.

anthony lynn can't catch a break. the chargers don't deserve to be 1-4 really.

And now they're trying to move some games to Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge so they can have a few fans in the stands. Feels like a complete loss, ugh.

Lynn is a large reason why they keep losing close games, injuries also.

Not having two All Pros on defense and losing an All Pro wr in the first quarter seems a bit larger.

I'd agree that Lynn has bad luck. You'd only cut him if the locker room gets tired of him.

Both teams were their own worst enemy today and you can bet the house the Bucs are not going to get owned like the last time they played.

And it looks like Michael Thomas is hurt again?

This. Ian Book will be starting for the Saints before the year is over, either due to Winston getting injured or Book beating him out outright.

Saints will be good with him. He's got the mechanics, very good footwork and composure.

Jameis is pleasantly surprising me tonight. But It's preseason and the Jags at home.

Was Brees the one behind those awful male leotard uniforms? They are back to a more traditional look so far this pre season. I will never be able to stand wearing the same color for pants, tights and or socks. You look like a softball team wearing that mess.

Agreed on the shitty look. But I'm pretty sure that it was NFL Properties that pushed them.

He's an average NFL qb.. Book and Hill are nowhere near him in QB skills.

the all black uniforms go back to 2001.

personally, i prefer the classic black jersey/gold pants combo for home games. they only wear those on the road at panthers games for some reason.

it was 2 different offenses i saw between hill and winston, and winston had the high-tension, old school payton offense that was fun to watch. hill had the grind-it-out offense that brees drove for the past few seasons.

i know payton has to milk this decision to throw off other teams but seriously...winston has more than earned the starting job. hill is not a starting QB in the NFL.

the system that payton had so much success with in prime brees years was definitely on display yesterday. winston is not going to be a prolific passer like brees, nor does he have the same skill set. but he has the deep ball, and that was missing big time in the past few years with brees. having gadget players like taysom hill, and the slew of offensive weapons, should help them stay in contention with teams like the bucs, and the rams.

but the defense was the key yesterday, and if the offense can keep a strangehold on the game, they should feed off that.

i just hope this was more of a showing of the saints doing great rather than just the packers being that bad. i already know the answer most bears fans have for that.

Well Peyton usually has the Saints prepared to play, no?

they had a really bad streak of first game blemishes in recent years. they've had their share of blown up games they should've been more prepared for.

I think it was a combination. If Jameis isn't making mistakes the Saints will be really good. But the Packers were so bad yesterday Winston really never faced any pressure or situations that would cause him to make mistakes so I'm still skeptical of that part.
