I'm guessing Pittsburgh viewed the Bears 2nd as a likely higher pick than the Packers.
You do realize the Packers may very well lose 10 games this season, right? The difference in the two picks isn't going to be all that much. Maybe 6 spots or so. If the Packers really wanted to improve, they would have done so today. Maybe the guys in the cheesehead front office consulted with Rick Hahn and Kenny Williams about what to do today

Your argument doesn’t really make sense though. If the Packers acquired Claypool, the assumption would be that he would make them better. While you could say that he also helps the Bears, any gain he provides is offset by their cleaning house on the other side of the ball.

The linebacker free agency market is solid. The Bears will be fine.

Right. The Bears are gutting what apace left them, and still manage to acquire a solid player in a position of need. Packers have the reigning two-time MVP at quarterback and sat on their hands. Uou think their stockholders would be more upset.

They're going to buy more stock for Christmas.

Mostly spot on. Pack be allergic to the concept of WR even though they employ one of the best QBs of all time. Good summary of the Adams debacle (how do you ever let a surefire HOF talent IN HIS PRIME go?). Makes you think Gutenkest didn't make any deals because he didn't get permission from his mom - what a buffoon. Totally disagree on his take on Love though. Dead wrong.

I don't disagree with you on a some things but I don't understand the thing with Adams. They offered him more money than the Raiders and he still chose them, not sure what they were supposed to do.

So then he sits out for almost half the year until he has to report, I am not sure that is right either. It sucks but for whatever reasons he wanted to get to the West Coast.

You tag him so no other team can work out a deal with him. Then you sign him to a long-term contract.

I believe they stupidly agreed not to tag him last season.

Smart GMs figure out how to keep Jordan and Pippen together. Gutekunst thinks about preserving next year's 5th round pick.

   Happy Sunday!

Green Bay offered for Claypool both a second-round pick and a late-round pick.

Of course! They're trying to convince Karen that they really tried this time.

They really should have beat Phillys offer for AJ Brown.
Why take a Division 3 wide receiver that is going to take years to develop when Karen will be out the door this year or next?

That’s the Ryan Pace playbook.

They’re turning into the Bears a year or two ahead of schedule.
