Lawrence is better than Fields but he's playing closer to the level of an average QB both per conventional and advanced stats. Lawrence did get injured later in the year but still either stayed stagnant or regressed slightly per those same metrics compared to his performance last year. He'll need to leapfrog guys like Tua, Goff, Hurts, etc, to get to the next level statistically - right now he's behind all of them. So I don't think anyone can call him top 5 just yet and even his potential to be top 5 is in question given the uneven performance this year. What's sad about all this is even with this average performance the average performance still puts him a tier above Fields statistically.
