Rappaport saying that trade talks have resumed between Jets and Pack. Hoping to have a deal in place before draft.

Did he say who has all the leverage?

Pressure's on GB again. If they want a pick this year they have to get the deal done now. Gute has no idea what he's doing.

Looks like this is still in place and so far the Jets haven't blinked. Good for them.

What overrated defender from Georgia will Green Bay select with the pick?

The offer that makes the most sense for both teams is Jets 2nd this year, and a conditional pick in 24 or 25 that starts out as day 3 pick but rises to 1st round if Rodgers is on the team for 2024.

They got more than I thought. Probably because they had the leverage.

I'm guessing the Packers want a 1st round pick no matter what.

I think it's specifically that #13 pick that's holding things up and I don't blame the Jets for balking at that. I would be ok with a swap of firsts 13 for 15, along with their 2 second rd picks (42 & 43) & a conditional pick in 2024 based on the number of starts ARod makes. This allows the Jets to keep a similar 1st and prevents the appearance of getting fleeced. The Packers would get 2 picks that essentially add up to a 17-19 1st based upon trade value charts this season and possibly another decent pick in 2024.

Bump. Pretty close. And not bad for a team with zero leverage.

The jets lost all leverage when their dipshit owner came out publicly and said we need to win now, knowing they had no starting qb.

Not really. Unless you mean the guys who said the the Packers had all the leverage.

Pretty good deal for both teams. Jets keep a first rounder and the pack can get a first next yr if things go well

Want or expect? I don’t think 2 1sts were ever on the table - especially if the 13th pick was one of them.

Nah I mean dorks like you who said they had no leverage, and now the immediate universal reaction is the Jets caved on the 24 1. He doesn't even need to play more than 1 season too

2 1sts was never the discussion. It was whether it was gonna be a 1 and 2 or not. Its looking likely it will be a 1 and 2, plus a pick swap this year. It's more than folks were projecting GB to get.

Always helps to understand leverage in these scenarios though.
