I don’t root for the packers or give a shit how love does, although it would be a little funny around here if he stepped up, played well and the packers started rolling.

Maybe.

But maybe Packers fans will set the bar higher and strive for Love to win more NFC title games than Kerry Collins or Rex Grossman.

There are a couple of ways to look at this deal, none of them are favorable to the Jets. The Packers could have gotten a Russell Wilson like deal last season and pissed that opportunity away. If the Jets are fortunate enough to keep their 2024 first round pick, they still would have wasted $60M, 1st round pick swap, 2 second round picks, money on an offensive coordinator, and money on a Rodgers receiver.

The guy sucks, it was a bad draft and everybody will know it by week 8.

The Packers could have the bullets to compete with the Bears for a quarterback in the next draft if Fields doesn't take a leap as a passer.

I don't think that it would be good.

You think it's reasonable for Packers fans to expect Love to be better than Aaron Rodgers?

What's your prediction for how Fields career turns out? At minimum I assume you have him going to two SBs.

If Fields ends up as not just a HOF player, but one of the top five/top eight QBs to ever play the game, I will be very disappointed if he only wins one NFC Title game in which he needed a lot of help to get the victory.

Mealy mouthed response.

You told Packer fans we should hold Love to a higher standard then what Rodgers produced. I'm simply asking if you are holding your own team's QB to that standard as well.

Well, you asked a mealy mouthed question. Obviously you were looking for a specific angle and I'm not going to fall for that nonense.

Are you saying Packers fans should not strive for Love to play in two or more Super Bowls?

As I clearly stated, should Fields become an all time great like Rodgers, I will absolutely hold him to the highest standard. Exactly what his and Love's career path's will be at this point is to be determined.

So your answer is no. You have different standards for Packer and Bear QBs. Shocking.

Your answer seemingly is to reply to made up posts, FF.

I don't know how I can be any clearer. If 10-15 years from now we are talking about Fields being an all time great top five/top ten QB and he only played in ONE Super Bowl, I would be very disappointed. The only thing that would even potentially change my mind is if he had a Bills type run where he played in 3 or 4 other SBs and didn't win.

If you want to go all LTG and keep replying to words I do not actually type, go ahead.

No idea. Love has 83 career pass attempts. Not a single person on this board knows if he is good or bad. We will see.

I'll answer this for ME....the answer is yes. Same standard. Difference being, I don't think Fields will have as good of a career as Aaron Rodgers. Very few QB do. He's an all-time great in terms of talent with a reputation for being a toxic, selfish teammate.

No doubt. Their wishcasting on GB losing the Rodgers trade turned out wrong, so they have simply changed it to "Love sucks and you know he sucks, you aren't objective unless you admit right now he sucks"

I still like Lance, I never said the next Allen.. I'd still take him over Jones and Fields. Nobody is nervous about Love..maybe the O coordinator but Nobody else.

I like Purdy over Lance

What could you not like about Josh Allen or Herbert? Big athletic guys who can run, throw on the run and always look for big plays downfield. Add Lance to that list soon.

This will age just like your Mitch - Josh Allen menutia.

I like Fields, he belongs in the league as a starter, slightly better Jameis Winston. Trey Lance is going to be a star, Josh Allenesque.

I like Lance a lot. Purdy has a higher floor than Lance because he is currently better at reading the field. Lance has a significantly higher ceiling than Purdy, but who knows if he will ever reach it.

I watched some of Jordan Love's college games a while back on YouTube. I think he'll be good, but it's hard to say anything more definitive than that given the level of competition he played against.
