They took the top rated qb #1. Not really against the grain.

Cardinals GM says he is a "generational talent".

Reports are the Cardinals plan to revolutionize NFL offense with him.

I feel awful about how right I'm going to be on so many topics this NFL season, considering it is my 4th favorite sport.

You lifers deserve some wins.

He's smaller than Flutie for God's sake. Once in awhile IMU is right.

I'm not sure what IMU is even saying here. Is he going to be an all time bust?

He'll probably be the next Davey O'Brien.

Why would you be concerned with a coach who seems to say "Why not just run the same offense our QB did in college?".

He doesn't have the O Line to pull that scheme off imo and he seems to be one of those coaches who won't adapt his scheme to his personnel and those guys usually fail.

I don't expect a franchise QB. Maybe a journeyman with a career similar to Fitzpatrick.

Probably more like Kirk Cousins.

There's a lot of ground to cover between franchise QB and Ryan Fitzpatrick.

In fairness, a Vikings fan wouldn't know a franchise quarterback like Packers and Bears fans do.

With all the 6'5" quarterbacks in the world, why would I take a chance in building my team around a guy who is 5'8"? Sure, you may get a freakish guy like Russell Wilson, but how often does that happen? And nobody predicted greatness for Wilson. Everyone thought he was too small. This guy is even tinier.

You can have Mike Glennon, Paxton Lynch, and Brock Osweiler. I'll take my chances with Kyler.

Okay, but that's not really the point. Of course, somebody is going to try Murray. I just don't think it's reasonable to expect a whole lot. Maybe he'll be great. I wouldn't bet on that.

Well your last two sentences should be true of every single QB prospect. I don't think Murray is more likely to bust than Dwayne Haskins or Daniel Jones.

I think that is fair but sure fire great QBs only come around once every 10 years or so. The last one was probably Andrew Luck where you knew he was going to be great and now he can't stay healthy.

If you needed a qb then Kyler is as good of a prospect as anyone else.

I can't comment on specific guys. You know I don't follow football like that. The only reason I know about Murray is because he is so high profile and he was supposed to be the next Barry Larkin before he decided to be the next Eddie LeBaron.

But I agree he's not more likely to bust than others, it's just that a 5'8" quarterback has less upside than a normal sized guy unless the 5'8" guy is really special, and how often does that happen?

You remember that moment in time when it appeared that RGIII, Kaepernick, and Wilson were going to revolutionize the position/game? Well, it's more of a pocket passer's game than ever.

If I'm the cardinals, I'm more worried that Clelin Ferrell was able to keep him hemmed up, despite his alleged 4.3 speed. That line and failed Kingsbury scheme will get him killed imo.

Russell Wilson looked like a veteran his first pre-season NFL game. Baker Mayfield, another undersized Oklahoma via Texas transfer QB, opened the Bud Light fridges his first regular season NFL game. Murray looks a bit lost out there at this point. Doug Flutie, who led the Bills to one of their 2 playoff appearances in the last 2 decades and in is 40's took Brees starting job, is probably a reach for a Murray comp. Johnny Manziel seems a more likely comparison. And being on the Cardinals isn't going to do him any favors. Dbacks claim playing against shorter QB's like Brees makes tracking the QB's progressions more challenging. QB's hidden behind the O-line til the ball suddenly pops up out of the backfield.

undersized rookie QB, bad team, bad GM, proven bad in college first year head coach, trying to run a gimmick college offense.... there is potential they win less than 4 games this year and it is a dumpster fire.
