So, basically every quarterback in the NFL, ranked best to worst. |

The position isn't that important! Please find where I said that a "QB isnt important" You said you shouldn't draft a qb if you have 4 or 5 players ahead of them. That means you don't find the position to be important enough to give up a very minor amount of spots to fill the position. |

Unbelievable. You didn't quote me right initially! Dont put words into my mouth, or tell me what you think I meant. |

Frank Coztansa wrote: Unbelievable. You didn't quote me right initially! What I said was accurate. The fact that you read it wrong the first time doesn't change that.Dont put words into my mouth, or tell me what you think I meant. How important can the position of quarterback be if you aren't willing to draft a player 4 picks higher than you would normally? |

What you said was not accurate. At all. Thats the end of it. |

Frank Coztansa wrote: What you said was not accurate. At all. Thats the end of it. Ok. Let's do this. Frank Coztansa wrote: Boilermaker Rick wrote: leashyourkids wrote: So, basically every quarterback in the NFL, ranked best to worst. Frank says don't draft a quarterback if you have 4 or 5 players ahead of him though. The position isn't that important! Please find where I said that a "QB isnt important" Frank Coztansa wrote: Its incredibly dumb if you have 4 or 5 players ranked higher than that QB. Frank Coztansa wrote: Take the best player available. If thats a QB, great. If not, great. You dont draft a QB first just because you need one. The Bears need MANY other positions as well. You literally said the position of quarterback is not important enough to draft a qb slightly higher than you would normally. So, "Frank says don't draft a quarterback if you have 4 or 5 players ahead of him though. " is basically a direct quote. "The position isn't that important!" is taking your thought that you wouldn't even draft a quarterback with the third pick if you thought they were only worthy of the fourth pick. To you, the quarterback position is not important enough to overdraft by 1 spot! So, what exactly wasn't accurate? To me, the only inaccuracy seems to be how you read what I said. |

The position isn't that important!Answer this question: If you were the GM of the Bears, and you had the third pick, and you had a quarterback rated as the fourth best player in the draft, would you draft the quarterback? Would you be willing to draft a pick one spot higher than you rate them or would you go with the "best player available"? |

That drafting a QB, even if you need one, with such a high pick might not make sense if your team has a bunch of other holes, especially when you aren't talking about said QB being a generational talent. |
