Being released by the Browns on Monday. Hopefully GB brings him in.

I just dont think he's cut out for the league though. They were all-in on him and this hamstring "injury" nonsense seems to have broken them in a way the season-long suspensions and random disappearances couldn't. He'll get a shot somewhere but he's probably toast.

Just what Brady needs if he can get his illness in order.

He's too young and talented still. A fresh start might be all he needed.

Is a suspension forthcoming though?

I don't think so.

Bring him to Oaktown and pair him with Martavis.

Weed receivers, so to speak.

 the browns are such a clown organization. Now Schefter is reporting multiple teams are asking about trading for him before the Monday release date.

The team didn't even try to trade him first.

I'd like to knock back a few cocktails with Hue Jackson and hear about his days with the Raiders.

Per Adam Schefter, Josh Gordon hurt his hamstring at a promotional shoot.

Trading an injured, drug addict who can’t get on the field. At least worth a 2nd round pick.

If he wasn't himself, wouldn't that mean he was sober?

So he hurt himself doing some promo shoot then fell off the wagon and showed up late/fucked up to a team meeting. I'm with Cleveland on this one, anyone looking to trade for him is off their rocker.

You'd cream your jeans if the Bears got him for a 5th round pick.

Do the Bears even have a 5th rounder to give up?

Post subject:  Re: Josh Gordon

Where's your proof that he's the same player he was 5 years ago? Plus all this baggage. Really he's not worth a draft pick, even a late-round pick.

He honestly should be choosing where he plays next too. He wont succeed unless he's in the right, structured environment (basically New England). Send him to Dallas and he'll be gone by week 8.

Post subject:  Re: Josh Gordon

If there was proof he was the player he was four years ago he'd command high round picks and a huge extension.

He's looked good last year and last week in limited touches. He's absolutely worth a late round pick.

Yes, if Josh Gordon had accumulated five (or even one) seasons like his 2013 in the time since then he would be extremely valuable. He also would not have been cut.

But he hasn't. And now that he's injured his hamstring doing...whatever...he's already missing time again this year after playing in like 10 total games the last 5 years. Like I said, there are only a handful of franchises where he has any chance of getting his shit together and succeeding, and I'm shocked there are teams who aren't in that group who are actually desperate enough to give a draft pick for him. He's absolutely not worth any draft pick for a team that does not have a track record of reforming players with his track record.

He is clearly worth a late round pick. That’s why within minutes of the report that he was going be cut it got changed to “multiple teams are making offers for him”.

Tell me who's offering the picks. If its Dallas, Detroit and Buffalo are I wouldn't say that's a true indicator of his real value. Just what idiot franchises who are desperate to make a splash are willing to part with.

The man can't be helped. When he burns it all down, then maybe. But by then it will be way too late for a football career.

Once you get to your 3rd rehab, then it's a mental illness. Then you are talking severe structure. Which of course is impossible in such a high profile employment. Seriously, if anybody really wants to help him, get him out of the NFL.

Post subject:  Re: Josh Gordon

He is on way more than his 3rd trip to rehab and he was drinking all the time before practice, before games.....he is and was a mess. He is also living off a very small rookie contract. He never signed an extension and is just living off that 2nd round rookie money. This is going to be a very bad Outside The Lines episode.
