I say yes.
Quote:
Adam Schefter
‪Drew Brees (71,523) can break the all-time passing yards record of 71,940 set by Peyton Manning with 418 when the New Orleans Saints travel to face the New York Giants. Brees would pass Brett Favre for second all-time with 316 yards as well. So here comes history. Brees also needs four touchdown passes to join Manning (539) and Favre (508) as the only players with 500 in NFL history.‬

Absolutely.

Is there even a question? I don't know how he was a second round draft pick. If you watched him at all in college it was obvious he was going to be a star.

He was viewed as " too short" he's 5'11" .

Can we decide on someone who may be borderline instead of one of the top 20 to 30 quarterbacks to ever play the game?

Brees is top ten and maybe higher.

He was downright bad his second and third seasons.

Maybe (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky has a chance!

Top 10 all day, he's probably top 7. He's better than Manning.

Gee its almost like giving up on a QB before he even turns 25 is a bad idea!

The only thing is because of the modern day passing rules( you can't touch wide receivers) the passing yards stat is total fugazzi. Meaningless. We have to find another way to evaluate QBs.

What stats would make him questionable?

Now Matt Stafford will be an amazing argument if he plays until 38.

I’m not sure there’s any criteria you can find that would place Brees outside the top 10 regardless of era. He’s a no doubter all time great.

Definitely.

I still remember people hoping that Grossman could be successful if he learned from Brees

Otto Graham
John Unitas (If history is to be believed)
Fran Tarkenton
Dan Marino (despite no rings)
Roger Staubach
Joe Montana
John Elway
Tom Brady
Aaron Rodgers
Steve Young (despite only one ring)
Peyton Manning
And maybe even Bradshaw.

I’ll take Brees over all those guys except Montana, Brady, Rodgers, and Manning.

Everyone has a right to be wrong. But you don't have to work so hard at it. :D

Completely agree. Favre is still top 5 in my book. Any QB who has played the majority of their career or all of their career in an era where receivers or QBs can't be touched automatically gets brought down a couple notches.

What the hell is this type of question? He's the all time passing yard leader. Of Course he's a HOFer. He's gonna add at least 10k to that record if he plays 2 more years. Nobody will catch him for at least 15 years. Easier to pass in this passing NFL. But these young kids need to stay healthy to get him.

Goff tweeted tonight that he's not a lock for the HOF.
