A Chicago Bears personnel executive has thrown a little extra gasoline on the fire that is the Adrian Amos-Ha Ha Clinton-Dix debate.

Bears director of player personnel Josh Lucas explained that he believes adding Clinton-Dix, a former Packer, to replace Amos – who signed with the Packers in free agency – is an upgrade for the Bears based on the last four years of on-field grading.

“We’re not just saying this right now because he’s here and Amos in Green Bay. We have consistently graded Ha Ha as a better player than Amos for four years. We played against him twice a year. For that to happen, it really solidified the pro side of it,” Lucas said, via Kevin Fishbain of The Athletic.

could be partially true. HHCD first couple years were good. then he became soft, stopped tackling and took shitty angles.

nonetheless the market disagreed with that bears guy grading system.

I’d find that quote pretty alarming if I was a Bears fan. Clinton Dix sucks.

Dix signed for less to be a Bear.

Don't worry, you have pro football focus to keep you warm at night. However, they also think Montgomery was the best back in the draft so the Pack will still be at a deficit.

PFF is the publication that rated HHCD as something like the 3rd best safety last year.

For his excellent rating he received a one-year charity contract. I'd be very wary of the Bears grading if it matches PFFs conclusions.

Amos is a guy. If HHCD can play in the average range next year, Amos won't be missed that much, if at all. To quote a great Polish mind: Everything still depends on (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky.
