If the refs are going to sate their narcissistic desire to be constantly involved and the focus of everyone's attention by throwing flag and picking them up I suppose that's a equitable solution that protects the health of the game and their fragile egos.

That is an abysmal call. What they picked up was way, way more egregious than a call that took a TD off the board.
