That pass for a TD from Wilson was fucking beautiful. Its nice to finally have a meaningful Thursday night game. |

If the NFC North does have three playoff teams and the Seahawks win the West, and so far it certainly looks like they are the better team, the Rams might not even make the playoffs this year. |

That's a big opening drive by the Rams. They looked strong again. |

Wilson is amazing. Flying to seattle to see him play is on my list. |

Goff isn't necessarily bad but he's not going to will your team to victory. Rams are in trouble, their weapons all look worse except for Kupp and the dont have that defense anymore. They always felt a little patchwork, like they had cobbled this thing together as fast as they possibly could, and now the weakness of their foundation is starting to show. Having to go out and get the likes of Clay Matthews and Eric Weddle while being almost forced to re-sign Dante Fowler just speaks to how catastrophic it is when a team cant find a develop players through the draft or UDFA. The only guy they've drafted in the last three years that really has been a stand out is Kupp. This strategy they have almost never picking in the top fifty while loading up on late-round guys has failed pretty miserably. Where has Darrell Henderson been? Does he even play for them? The Rams are just exhausted. They have no depth and have hemorrhaged just enough of their star caliber players through cap, age and injury attrition that they dont have it anymore. Losing Suh, Saffold and Joyner has combined with the sharp declines of Gurley, Cooks and Talib/Peters to basically end them. 8-8 isn't out of the question. |

There is absolutely no doubt that the Rams were engineered to win the Superbowl last year. All the contracts were geared that way; they were mortgaging the future a bit to hit in 2018. I think that strategy is actually fairly sound because they need to make sure they beat the Chargers as LA's team (granted, they had a head start by having played there recently enough that some older folks might still have had ties.) You get the base excited, you can put up a 9-7 this year but still sell your tickets to the new stadium next year. I still think Goff will be a good QB, but I think they needed to realize last year that running Gurley into the ground wasn't advisable as a long term thing. However, maybe they thought it would be worth it if they had won the Superbowl. And of course there's always a chance Gurley is a freak that can run 320 times a season every season and bounce back, but that did not end up being the case. Too much of the defense has changed, and they aren't able to perform at an above average level anymore, so you're forcing your offense to put up 40 points a game which isn't a very sustainable model. |

Even if they sneak into the playoffs their odds of winning a road game against a quality opponent are basically zero. |

what a game. Instant classic. Russell Wilson is simply amazing the way he gets out of trouble and finds holes. |

Apparently Lockett's TD catch in the first half was the most improbable NFL catch in the last 2 years It's funny how geeky these sports analysts have gotten the last few years. I mean, how the hell do u put a number on that? 6.9% probablity of being caught? |

Bills at Titans - Last 3 meetings have been decided by 1 (ONE) point (13-12, 14-13, 35-34) Pats at Skins - Pats favored by 15.5. You think they cover this? Ravens at Steeltown - First time since 2007 these teams meet without either Flacco or Big Ben playing Jets at Eagles - Jets have NEVER beaten the Eagles. Ever. In history. |

This is a week I'm actually rooting for the Packers. They should beat Dallas. The Bucs are going to give the Saints trouble at home. It seems they've turned it around with Winston playing better. I was a year early on them last year. K.C. shouldn't destroy Indy. I'm hoping Indy can keep it close. The Chiefs are 31st against the run, while the Colts have the 5th best rusher currently in Marlon Mack. |

That is true, jbills. ESPN loves them some Cowboys, Patriots, and Aaron Rodgers. FavreFan wrote: Feels like every year the general public thinks he's gonna fall off and I don't get it. He's been a top 4 QB for a few years now. That's what the Seahawks have done though. They end up starting 2-3 or 2-2 or 3-4 or whatever, yet there they are in week 17 winning to clinch a playoff spot.

I think they're getting close to being back to the elite 11 and 12 win Seattle teams from 5 years ago. |

They've more or less had 4 wins guaranteed the last 2-3 years by playing the 49ers and Cardinals the twice But yeah, its hard to imagine a team that looked sooooo awful against the Bears in week 2 of last year made the playoffs. |

good dolphin wrote: FavreFan wrote: I'm old enough to remember when Nas thought Phillip Rivers was better than Russell Wilson I'm old enough not to remember it Wasn't that a completely valid assessment when Wilson first entered the league? How many QBs with his profile end up not being able to avoid getting tackled and/or can't throw accurately while scrambling? |

They have the QB and the coach and really in the NFL if you have those two things you're usually pretty good. |

Dear internet friends, Rogers is such a vagina. Pushing that ball off his hand trying to claim a pass. Fine if that is a pass it is intentional grounding. Your pal, Evil. |
