Starting in 2020 and going forward. To me its Mitch and it’s not that close.

I can see Winston having a Fitzpatrick-like career. I'm not even a Bears fan and I find (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky frustrating. The ball can literally end up anywhere.

Mitch, based solely on his whiteness

Except for his WR's hands 30 yards down the field.

I know you said this about Mitch. You familiar with Jameis’s work?

Mitch won't be a starter much longer.

I want this to be the case, but it probably won't be. Best we can hope for is that he plays so bad the first couple-three games the Bears have to bench him.

He’ll start at least 17 more games. I don’t think Jameis will

This season has broken you my friend. The best you can hope for is he improves a bit on last year and the defense bounces back and you win the SB.

I don’t think that’s true. Did you mean former NFL players?

My opinion has been echoed by almost everyone watching the league for the past 5 years.

I just posted an article in the (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky thread about Forte, Brown, Krutz and Briggs just destroying (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky. One of them said he's a backup at best.

So former players, aka analysts. Gotcha. Yeah those same guys say the same shit about Jameis winston.

Link to analysts saying Jameis is a bad QB and should be replaced?

Lol. You have google.

Or, as I already posted, we can just go with Jameis’s own head coach saying if they can win with him they can with another QB too. You won’t find a Nagy quote about Mitch that is nearly as damning.

That's because he's a sensitive b.itch who needs coddling. Nagy's pressers/interviews before/during games this year were just pro-Mitch propaganda so Mitch's empty head would be filled would positive reinforcement.

That’s just bullshit excuses.

You are attempting to claim that criticism from former players being paid as analysts is more damning than a quote by the player’s own head coach. Just stop.

I didn't say it's more damning. I was just uncharacteristically venting about Mitch.

Right. But my whole point in these conversations is to point out there aren’t any better options. Maybe Bridgewater, and that’s a big maybe, and that’s it. Preferring Jameis is just being out of town stupid. His own coach made it clear he’d prefer to have another QB

I'm still thinking about options but part of me wants to say this is a motivating tactic from Arians. I think he's done the "tough talk" angle before if I'm not mistake in Arizona. This seems to be his style. Nagy "be you" is decidedly not a tough talker, at least publicly.

Post subject:  Re: Who will start more games going forward

Jameis has been in the league for 5 years. Mitch for 3. I have to question the football knowledge of anyone who thinks Jameis will improve and Mitch won’t.

It wasn’t a motivating tactic. Jameis just isn’t good and Arians is publicly telling his GM to find him a new QB. There aren’t even any lines to read between.

A football-casual friend of mine recently asked me "why don't the bears have a good young backup qb like all these other teams?" (????) so I just retorted "they do, but the thing is that he's technically their franchise QB"

(the only thing I can think of is that he meant having a young qb who redshirts as a backup for at least a chunk of his first season like Mahomes, Lamar, or technically B!tch Truemissky.)

Solid reminder that the public is usually stupid.

Chance for you to make some money off this if you weren’t so cheap and/or not confident in your opinions.

They are the same age, Winston has a much stronger arm.. Mitch will be a backup after next season from that point forward.

Winston won’t be in the league by 2024. Mitch will.

Not as a starter. Jameis wins this.

Bears fans would lynch Winston and shove crab legs up his ass if he threw 30 interceptions and 7 pick 6's for the Bears. Chicago fans are so irrational.
