Titans @ Chiefs (-7.5, 53)- can the Titans do it again? I dont believe so this time. But the Chiefs did lay a few eggs in the middle of the season at home, so it's not impossible. Tannehill is an underrated QB (and always has been), and I believe he actually has a higher QB rating than Mahomes this year. But I think this is the year Andy Reid finally gets to and wins a fuckin SB. Regardless what happens, always remember FavreFan's quip: Fuck the Patrick Mahomes!!! Packers @ 49ers (-7.5, 46) - can Rodgers get back to the Super Bowl? The 49ers have gotta be the quietest Super Bowl contender ever. I mean other than Garropolo, most people cant name a single offensive player on their team. Only reason anyone knows about Bosa is because of me on this board. I still feel like the Saints shoulda been the team to come out of NFC. Alright, who are your picks? Straight up and against the spread?? Over/Under? I am always wary of big-ass spreads in the playoffs. I'll go with: -Chiefs win, Titans cover, Under - Henry will have a big game but in the end Mahomes will get it done. 53 is a high total so I'll go with under. -Packers win outright, Under. Lot of times what happens in the playoffs is a repeat of something that happened in the regular season that most people forgot. But go back to opening night, how the Packers stunned the bears 10-3. You may laugh now, but at that time , it was stunning the Bears scored only 3 points. Go back to how Collinsworth pointed out the improved defense with the new DC. That's what will happen this time. People are waiting for Rodgers to win this game for them, but I think the Packers defense steps up big-time and stifles the 9ers. Again, keep in mid, the 9ers have no offensive stars that people can name. Not that they are not good, but they are not household names. |

If Mahomes gets a two-score lead and Tennessee has to start throwing the ball its going to get really ugly. San Francisco is a matchup nightmare for Green Bay but I have a feeling that game is going to be close and may feature a late surge by the Packers. I took SF -7, but I am uneasy about it. |

Mahomes got a boner getting down 23. Titans chance is to keep the tempo slow and the score down. Any kind of shoot out is straight for KC. Plus this will be the third straight road game for Tennessee. That pass rush won’t like chasing Mahomes in the pocket. 42-17 |

I don't think it matters where Derrick Henry runs, he runs over/through the defense. Titans goofy FedEx OC dials up enough downfield plays early on to keep defenses somewhat honest (but not really). So far no one's had an answer for Henry. Hard to see Andy Reid doing what Belichick and Ravens DC Wink Martindale could not. |
