I wouldn’t do it, but if Meyer really has explored hiring staff then I think it’s a possibility. |

Maybe he trades down for more picks, and still drafts Fields. |

Urban is arguably the father of the spread offense, so it would be interesting. I’ve seen some reporters who’ve covered him say he would take a single loss so damn hard with the Gators and Buckeyes. They couldn’t imagine him coaching a 4-12 NFL team. |

June Jones would argue that, but I have heard the same thing about Meyer. |

Unlike a lot of these coaches turned broadcasters, Meyer wasn't just a charismatic leader who hired great assistants. He's a real football genius and I expect he will do well wherever he lands. He is a difference maker. |

Glad his health issues have gone away. Hopefully they don't come back when he no longer wants to coach there. |

Me either, run a dirty ass program and get better talent than your competition. As far as inventing the spread..that came along 20 years before Meyer picked up a whistle. |

I honestly can't remember which teams he coached at Miami, but I do know who followed him at his previous job: Joe Tiller. |

He did remarkable work at Bowling Green and Utah before he ever got to the big boys. |

I’m no CFB historian, but wouldn’t June be considered the grandfather of the Air Raid? Is the distinction that separates Urban the use of the mobile QB, and the RPO? |
