I wonder if the shine is completely gone on Gase or if someone will think he just wasn't made to be a head coach but hires him as an OC

how did u know this was comin'?

Lynn was a good caoch. Over .500 in 4 years. Did good with a rookie QB this year (7-9), including winning the last 4 in a row. This was a shock to me.

So how did u see this comin'?

I agree, this seems like a really dumb move. No off-season and an inept doctor stabbing the starting QB in the beginning of the season, but rallying hard at the end. Better than even Joe Gibbs did in his first season in Washington.

i would've given him another season to see what he could do with a full off-season prep and seeing what the team could do with a fresh start. herbert is definitely the real deal and was probably getting used to working with lynn. i wouldn't have changed that.

the chargers have historically been underachievers, even with talent.

I would have said a month ago that he needs to go, they finished strong though. Id have brought him back for one tear and canned him next year if they don't win 10 plus. Hes made several odd decisions to punt or kick a fg when it made it made no sense that cost them a chance of winning. Taylor is probably starting if he didn't get hurt by their own MD.. That doesn't inspire confidence either. The team has a lot of talent and could explode next year with a better coach..like when Harbaugh took over for Singletary.

Lions should hire Lynn, bring him into the gettable NFC North.

Although Bills' OC is probably the right hire for the Chargers, see if Daboll can do for Herbert what he did for Allen.

While I agree Daboll is a hot name right now I don’t think Herbert has as much needed fixing as Allen did.
