1,2,3 will go QB, that has only happened twice.

99'

Couch
Mcnabb
Smith

71'
Plunkett
Manning
Pastorini

Id say it goes Laurence, Wilson, Lance. Lot of rumors of SF taking Mac Jones at 3. I believe that's all horseshit by a good GM with some misdirection. Pitts goes 4th to Atlanta and Sewell to Cincy @ 5.

You'd think Pitts wiuld be their guy, he is probably the biggest can't miss guy in the draft.

He’d have to be Gronk or Kelce to merit a top 4 pick.

Looking at their recent picks and kinda surprised how poorly they have drafted..worse than the bears.

Kelce is a great comp.

Before that violent hit he took in the Georgia game this year I thought Pitts was on a perennial NFL All Pro trajectory.

After that hit tho, and it pains me to say this as a fan of his, but I think he ends up just pro bowl caliber.

Like a Greg Olson.

Which I’m certain most teams would take right now.

But before that hit he was doing simply unreal things in college last season.

Faster than Olsen, better blocker, better hands, bigger catch radius and only 20 years old. That said... Olsen will be in the hall of fame.

Yeah, you’re right.

I guess if Pitts is HoF caliber then I really have no point.

Its too bad we don't get a combine. These pro days are ridiculous. The only good information coming out of them are the measurables and maybe the broad and vert. This will be an interesting class...we'll have more guys that go high that wash out and guys that go low or are undrafted that have good careers.

I just can't wrap my mind around a team drafting Kyle Pitts over Sewell, Fields, or Lance. Gonna be a crazy draft

Lance is supposed to be very good on the whiteboard. At North Dakota State the QB puts the gameplan together and sets the protection and makes all the calls. I can see him killing it in his interview with Shanahan which is why he moved up. I will be surprised if Jones goes #3 even though that's where all the signs are pointing. If SF does go Jones that #4 pick becomes very valuable. Atlanta are locked in to Ryan for 2 more years I think they would move out.

I wonder if Sewell's arm length raised some eyebrows. Length wasn't supposed to be an issue with him but 33 1/4 was quite a bit shorter than expected.

I would have liked to see Pitts at the combine. It might be nitpicking but his release looks a little slow. I'd like to see his splits in the 40. He is very impressive to me but taking him that high the team needs to have a plan on how to use him.

Sounds like you've come to grips that Fields ain't top 3.

Who knows at this point but it seems like that’s where it’s heading. It’s crazy how nfl teams talk themselves out of sure things at QB for projects.

We don't know how the interviews are going. The knock on him is he doesn't go thru his reads fast enough (his coaches say it is by design) and if he's interviewing poorly that's going to knock him down some. I wonder what Panthers move means since they had a decent shot of landing somebody. This is shaping up to be one of the better top 10's we've seen in some time as far as intrigue.

Bucky Brooks had the best description of Mac Jones I've heard yet. He said if he was an Avenger he'd be Ironman and the Alabama offensive line, running backs, and receivers are the suit. The Athletic film guy did a study of Jones and was surprised at the lack of arm talent for someone people think is going to go top 10. I just don't see it. Saban claims Shanahan didn't talk to him at all at the pro day except for a hello. Jones accepted an invitation to be at the draft.

I think Mac Jones will absolutely suck, i wouldn't draft him in the 2nd round. 6 better QB options over him.

teams go crazy for QB

in a rational world, Trey Lance and Jones would be nowhere near the first round

On point thus far.. And fuck all the dumb MFers ever thought that SF would take that chump Mac Jones. That's what is called a useful idiot.

You could be right about Lance, and yeah I agree Mac Jones is simply not athletic enough to survive behind a mediocre offensive line.

He was also throwing to the best WRs in the NCAA..and they were wide open. Lance is gonna be a star.

4-4 so far.. 5-5"after Sewell gets picked next.

Sewell to Cincy is a no brained that only the Bengals could fuck up.

Burrow needs that guy on his O-Line.
