Missed this last week. It’s a little strange but I’ll stick with it for tonight. They drop seem decent knowledge and Peyton is good but Eli mostly looks like he doesn’t know why he’s doing this and doesn’t give a fuck

Lack of crowd noise makes it kind of weird.

It's very spotty, but Eli is dragging it down much of the time.

Haven't watched it yet, but my son likes it.

I want to watch it.....no sideline reporters and now sideline dramatic lifetime comments about someone's father passing.....it would be an upgrade to the regular broadcast.

I enjoyed it. But Peyton definitely carries it. Eli constantly looks like he smelled something really bad

i like that they bring in other guests from time to time but the delay and technological issues makes it spotty. i tune in for a little bit but it's not good for an entire broadcast.

so they dont have the ability to rewind plays or break them down right after they happen? they just are commenting on the same feed the regular broadcast gets?

i bounce around. i'll probably keep watching less and less of it. 800k viewers last week. curious what it was last night.

just a reminder if you were enjoying the manning broadcast, be better and advocate for an ex woman player or something

Peyton and Gronk were great. Eli isn't cut out for it but Peyton is just getting groomed for the main broadcast next year.

Yep, that must be the reason why Mina Kimes auditioned to be the co-host, because she just wanted to ream Peyton out about sexual abuse every week. Julie is such an idiot.

I read or heard somewhere recently Peyton has zero interest in the main gig, doesnt wanna do the travel and prep work and all that shit, so this was his compromise to ESPN who kept going after him for it.

i accidentally turned this broadcast on in week one and watched it for about half a quarter and realized i'm more interested in the game than I am listening to the manning brothers riff. Peyton was definitely the Alpha, Eli didn't seem very into it. It was a tough way to watch a game in my opinion.

I think we, or at least I, have reached a saturation point with Peyton Manning.

There is no earthly reason for Eli to be on TV or radio.

Yeah, but does Eli deserve to be in the HOF?

I watched it yesterday for the first time. Mind numbingly boring.

I hadn't noticed that Nick Satan has taken on a southern drawl. He said he puts in 10 hours on a Sunday. I've always wondered with these guys, are they just not that bright or is football really that complicated? I'm sure part of the day for a college coach is spent recruiting and sundays probably require a weekly meeting with the local police department.

I watched yesterday for most of the first half. It was interesting when they were breaking down plays, but that didn't happen as often as I expected. It felt like Peyton Manning was trying hard to play the Peyton Manning character that he believes the audience likes. That red cup doesn't have anything in it.

I enjoyed their commentary and banter but prefer a traditional broadcast.

Only caught the 4th quarter of the Manning simulcast thing, Chris Long was too baked to be on tv at that hour.

They really should just let loose with only tangential discussion about football. Have some wildcard guests on, maybe zoom with a fan chosen at random. I think this could work better with people who cared less about their image. A guy like Steve Mc Michael back in the day could make it watchable.

As opposed to the exciting regular broadcast?

Peyton is good, Eli is terrible. It would be nice if the announcers and/or game audio was in the feed in the background, as there's lots of dead spots. Mostly because of Eli. These guys are not broadcasters.

If it's a good game, regular broadcast. If it's a shit show, Manning Bros. Although thinking about it like that, maybe they should be the exclusive Thursday Night announce team.

they film into the film room black hole. honestly though when you are talking about the elite matchups sometimes it just comes down to that. he aint in there preparing for Southern Miss.

also I think recruiting takes up just a massive amount of time and energy. you have to make so many people feel like you are totally one hundred percent focused on them all at once, and at the same time do the football season. its gotta be labor intensive.

He's won so much that he shouldn't need to do as much recruiting. Most of us would send our sons there if he wanted them on the team. At worst, they'll win a national championship. At best, we're talking about getting drafted early.

you say that but there are other coaches who are making all sorts of guarantees too. Nick Saban doesn't text back or return your calls, you might feel a little personally slighted. might wanna go play for Dabo, who always texts back.

I think we take for granted how easy it is to keep things rolling. Alabama, during my teens, was kind of a non factor

As well as my teens. Miami was the annoying powerhouse during that time.
