Let’s remember the real victim here. The poor Bills GM who has had a tough 2 days.

The little bits and pieces of this case are really starting to look BAD. Shame on the Bills for not doing their homework on draft day, but many teams would have held out a lot longer before making a the decision to cut.

i found it interesting how vehemently Araiza's lawyer is straight up calling this girl out as being a gold-digger, very bluntly. No fancy lawyer-speak, just flat out calling it a cash-grab and taking her character down very aggressively.

Isn't that what the lawyers of celebrities have historically done?

I suppose, but it seems unusual that she would target a college punter with a gold-digging scheme.

Gotta go after that 4th round punter money.

So was the Bills FO so bad that they didn’t know or were they so bad they did know and drafted him anyway? I’m not going to act like they’d be the only team to ignore something like this, but to do it on a 4th rounder punter isn’t maximizing your bad guy over good guy replacement value.

According to her lawyer, they asked for an apology, not cash, and kept it quiet for a while even after the Bills GM ignored them

she went to the cops the next day, so it isn't like she has been sitting on this until he was drafted and she thought she could make a buck. The “cash grab” argument just doesn't seem logical.

What about a punter?

Jalen Carter was directly involved with someone losing their life and left them to die and got drafted 9th into millions of dollars and not a peep from anyone about his right to play football for a living or that Eagles management needs to " do better" and how dare they draft someone like that. The Bills were harrangued and shamed for drafting Araiza and were forced to cut ties with him based on the " outrage" of what he supposedly ( didnt) did, losing out on millions he will never regain.

Araiza should play a more important position.

He may need an occasional breather if Fields doesn't improve as a passer.

The Bills should’ve been as strong as the Eagles. Howie Roseman isn’t being forced to do shit.
