High-brow AFC matchup tonight.

Remember the last time these 2 teams played on TNF?

Riiiight. It was 2013, when the Dolphins won on a safety in OT, 22-20. A hilarious ending. The Bengals were kinda good at the time and the Dolphins were bad, so it was an odd upset.

No TV tonight guys, listen on radio or satellite radio.

The Dolphins coach looks like he was literally playing Madden in his mom's basement last week.

0% chance that guy’s not high every time you see him.

Honestly, it didn’t look like he hit his head that hard, even looking at the slo-mo.

Miami and the league have a problem. Tua didn't hit his head as violently as last week but had some neurological issue.

Yeah I agree, I was referring to the reaction more so than the hit itself. That looked very wrong.

Like there was some preexisting injury.

He isn't a free agent until after the 2023 season.

Like a concussion that he had not recovered from. The recipe for dying on a football field is to have consecutive concussions with the 2nd coming while the trauma from the 1st still exists. It takes hardly anything to get that 2nd one as we saw tonight. I believe i saw that he had a seizure on the field tonight. There are going to be a lot of people fired for allowing this to happen.

Not a fan of Bernstein’s frequent concussion tut-tutting radio shows, but he can go hog wild with it all 4 hours tomorrow. WTF Dolphins.

There will be at most one low-level fall guy. The NFL is bullet proof.

Whoops, sorry guys, the game was on TV after all. It was a replay on NFL Network at about 11:30pm after the highlights.

Was great to hear AL Michaels.

Let's not give Tua a pass for lying his ass off from the gitgo. If he passed the tests and and claimed he didn't hit his head, ... what's the doctor to do? Call him a liar, yank him for 2-3 weeks, and catch nothing but dump trucks full of shit?

Personal responsibility. Ever hear of it?

That would be my defense if I was the NFL. The player said he hurt his back and he passed all standardized cognitive tests. Are they supposed to say "Well, we think you are lying and your brain isn't working and you can't play"?

Should they be allowed to say he can't play the rest of the year now?

One of the reasons they have the protocol is to protect the players from themselves. "Tua said he was okay" isn’t a defense for their incompetence.

We saw his legs wobble and Tua fall like he had been hit by prime Tyson. He repeatedly shook his head on the way to the locker room. That should have been enough to "No Go" him, but the Dolphins and the NFL failed.

the concussion protocol is specifically in place to remove the "put me in coach, I'm OK" aspect from the decision to play or not, so his personal desire to play shouldn't have any bearing at all in the decision. Which makes the decision to put him out there LAST week after his head got slammed into the ground was immediately very surprising, even before he ran out for last nights game.

But he supposedly passed all the cognitive tests leading up to the game and he claims he didn't even hurt his head which was probably a lie.

I'll ask again. What if the NFL came out today and said "He will not be allowed to play the rest of the year"? Is that fair?

The player needs to take some responsibility here too. He did everything he could to play 4 days later after a "back injury". He could have easily said "I have a headache" on Monday and no one would have thought any less of him.
