If you are the Bears how do you not "Rick Renteria" Matt Eberlose and make a run at Sean Payton? |

If Kansas City folds in the playoffs, someone has to get scapegoated (Spagnulo) so there's a spot for Lovie. If not Minnesota. |

Sean Payton is virtually guaranteed the job near his old Dallas home in a couple of weeks. |

He knew he was getting paid to lose. Something happened at the end and he went rogue the last 6 or so weeks of the season. |

Jerry's kids don't wanna downgrade from 350 foot yachts to 300 foot yachts just to swap out HC's this late in the game. Jerry seems happy with his 3 rings. Another SB win won't do anything extra for him except take caviar out of his kids' and grandkids' mouths. |

Only problem is that Jones is looking back wistfully at his successes with Jimmy both in Arkansas and Dallas. It's pretty accepted that he's a solid GM; has created the most franchise value and cash flow but now with his advancing age seems to want to win every so often to get the monkey off his back. It's the only thing that can feed his ego. |

Thailand is an interesting choice. But can't say I blame him for heading out and enjoying some of that money he will have coming in. |

Franky T wrote: This Ends in Antioch wrote: Good for him! Some may have gotten a chuckle out of the notion that former Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury plans to live it up in Thailand or wherever on Michael Bidwill’s money, while also ignoring opportunities to go to work for another team as an offensive coordinator. Bidwill may be laughing for a different reason. The buyout that a coach gets when fired without cause usually has a significant string attached. Specifically, the coach can’t just sit back and collect the cash he would have earned without trying to earn some cash elsewhere. There’s an obligation to seek and accept alternative employment. The ultimate question becomes the wording of the contract. But other coaching contracts include phrases like this: “Coach shall have the affirmative obligation to seek employment after such involuntary termination.” |

Florio doesn't know what's in his contract. The guy said "guaranteed", but he probably doesn't know either. |

Owner of the Cardinals some rich guy's kid who went to law school and worked as a prosecutor for a few years. (i) he doesn't give AF (ii) he's an asshole prosecutor who probably will try some shit like that, even tho I 'd guess NFL owners generally don't wanna rock the boat with the coaching pool. There aren't that many coaches who are any good and if the team's gonna rake one of em over the coals to get his money others might hesitate to sign up for the job. |
