The Browns cut ties with him because he legally bet they would win a game. He's not a coach or player. The Browns currently have a player who was suspended and accused of sexually assaulting nearly 100 women.

The Browns are the most inconsistent franchise in sports now that the Suns will be sold. But Bernie has had issues for decades

The NFL did this it sounds like, because he was a part of their team.

Leagues do not like any affiliated personnel gambling on their games.

No doubt.

There seems to be a lot of pretense about why the NFL is as popular as it is. It isn't because ten minutes of action over a three hour period is exciting. It's because of gambling. And now that gambling is legal almost everywhere and half the people watching any football game are rooting for some crazy parlay to come in, the NFL is going to have to come to terms with that. And they obviously haven't yet. It's pretty hypocritical when teams are planning to incorporate sportsbooks right into the stadiums.

The NFL is just following the states. The NFL wouldn't care if the states weren't pushing them so hard on not letting employees have an official tie to organization.

New Jersey forced PointsBet to fire Drew Brees as an endorser because Brees was going to be an assistant coach for the Purdue bowl game. I assume that if Drew Brees wanted inside information on Purdue athletics he could have gotten it even without becoming an assistant coach for a few weeks.

It's similar to the push for marijuana to become ubiquitous. The elites that run the country and want to run our lives love the benefits, i.e. tax money and satiating the masses. But everyone knows that both things are societal evils.

If weed is legal, why is it okay for me to be drug tested and denied a job if I have smoked it? If gambling is legal, why is there a problem with Bernie Kosar making a bet?

Everyone knows the answer and sometimes you can see that they do by the actions they have taken, but they can't stop the money train and keeping the people drugged is critical now that they no longer believe in God.

Is it becoming clear to you yet just how much heavy lifting a belief in Jesus Christ was doing in creating/maintaining a coherent American society?

States should take away all of our vices. People would be safer.

Vices are part of human nature. Religion has always been a drag on those vices. Now vices have replaced religion and are actively encouraged, but occassionally people still understand that they are vices and Bernie Kosar isn't alllowed to place a bet or FavreFan may not get a job because he smokes dope.

I gambled and smoked weed before it was legal. It was fine when such behavior was marginalized. Now it's the national raison d'etre.

There is a long list of things that I can do at home that I can't do at work. Jesus doesn't change that.
