Tyreek was wrong. He was politely asked to roll down his tinted window and he wanted to be an entitled asshole. He fucked around and found out.

Yeah I thought there were missteps on both sides. Tyreek rolling his window back up and then just telling them to write him a ticket so he could leave wasn't the best way to handle things but the cops definitely seemed to take it too far including pulling him out by his neck and cuffing up his teammate who stopped to inquire what was going on.

You have to comply with the window down request but damn no need to escalate that quickly…,

Yes you beat me to it. Sometimes both sides are at fault.

The neck thing was questionable, but they had to get control of the scene. Tyreek was significantly bigger than all of them, as was his teammate who lied and said they were beating on him.

Policing needs to de-escalate. Otherwise we are never going to have trust between the police and citizens. They need to try harder. It does not absolve Hill.

I'm not shedding tears for a privileged asshole who will likely used said privilege to get an officer or two fired. It sets an awful precedent. It should be pointed out those officers were also minority.

Everyone sees race. I am not going there. I am also not talking class. The police are going to encounter db’s daily. They need to calm the situation.

Hill is also a gigantic piece of shit.

So while nobody should be mistreated by the state, I think this one’s a 50/50 call and tie goes to the guy who’s not well known for beating a 3yr old.

Yeah I get it. But as I have said here before, if the cops encounter a guy who just killed 20 people and the person surrenders, they do not get to beat him or execute him. The courts are the ones to pass judgement. There is a reason we have that system.

Similarly, you dont get to ignore police orders , debate the merits and legality of the stop, and do whatever the fuck you want to do. The courts are the ones to pass judgement. There is a reason we have that system.

And he can fuck right off with that " what if I wasnt Tyreek Hill ? " bullshit too. If you werent Tyreek Hill you wouldve been treated like everyone else in that situation and probably thrown in jail for felony speeding. There were literally tens of thousands of police interactions with black men on Sunday that somehow didnt end up with them being pulled out of their cars and handcuffed despite the driving while black , the police are racist out to get us and cant wait to kill us mission statement of cops. Wonder how that happened.

No one hates police who abuse their power more than me. They've historically targeted minorities or anyone they deem as voiceless. That didn't happen here. I'm not going to clap as some entitled asshole tries to coopt the injustices committed against minorities as a cover for him being an asshole. Fuck him!

At least one of those cops had an ATD bet on him.

Those cops make about $50k a year. This piece of shit millionaire is trying to ruin their lives because he believes he's above following extremely polite orders after allegedly driving recklessly and not wearing a seatbelt.

He originally had his window down. "License and insurance please. I am writing you a ticket for reckless driving. Stay in the car. I will be back shortly."

That's it. No kibbitzing about the morality of speeding or questions about why the speed or where you're going. Do your quota paperwork and shut your hole.

Keeping the tinted window isn't an outrageous request.

Post subject:  Re: Tyreek Hill incident 9/8

Answering the seatbelt question by closing the window probably also a bad move.

It was rude when he said to the officer, “sorry you’re poor”.

Police are in a potentially dangerous situation with a highly agitated noncompliant driver pulled over. Hill refused multiple times to follow instructions. They actually de-escalated a potentially dangerous situation putting Hill to the ground and handcuffing him. The cops did absolutely nothing wrong here dealing with Hill protecting themselves and Hill.
