Yep. If he wins one playoff game you gotta figure they just fucking franchise tag his ass. Maybe not though. They drafted that Michigan QB. And this coach probably thinks he can make him great. But I would still guess franchise tag. |

It's an Alex Smith like situation when Mahomes was emerging. I'm not sure Mc Carthy will be ready to push him out next year. So I guess you tag him, but they will need him so it won't be a tag and trade. |

also, you can see that the locker room loves him I think if I were the Vikings, I'd trade Mc Carthy if I could recoup a #1 and sign Darnold. It's a shit year to draft QB. I'd take Mc Carthy over anyone in the draft. Then again, you do have to factor in one less year and an injury. |

I think it’s in everybody’s best interest if he hangs around another year. He’d have to be willing to turn down a lot of money to do it, but given his history he’d be smart to hang around KOC another season. |

One of the talking heads this week suggested Seattle would give up a 2nd, 4th, and 5th for McCarthy and move on from Geno Smith due to the cap. |
