They've been calling personal fouls on clean hits all year and Briggs hit was just another example. Perfect textbook way to blow a guy up. As Ryan Clark would say, if you can't do that, how can you hit a guy legally?

It's out of hand. One call per game gets flagged on textbook hits.

When I played football and some guy was lying on the ground and couldn't get up, we didn't sit around and hold hands and pray. Nope no sir, we gave each other high fives and talked shit. If you couldn't feel your feet we say "fuck that take his socks". We would tie his socks on our facemasks so the next team we played knows we aren't fucking around.

Two ridiculously bad calls from the NE/Washington game yesterday, one for tackling Rex and one for hitting Brady in the head even though the defender never hit Brady in the head.

This is why I need not worry about Green Bay's defense. Nobody is allowed to play defense anymore.

It's a disturbing trend to watch QBs begging for roughing the passer after each hit they take, and it is all them that are doing it.

it is more than one call per game, the refs should not have the ability to change games..if a hit is deemed dirty than the league should fine him. the grossman below the knees was the worst i saw yesterday.

It hasn't been a good year. The roughness penalties are the most egregious examples, but there's been some blown fumble/video review calls and the usual inconsistency with PI too.

jimmy graham scored a touchdown, too. and jake locker didn't.

Yes, Graham's catch was a TD. The "roughing" call on Fletcher was a joke. RedskinGreg was livid.

Two more almost inexcusable calls again yesterday, both benefitting GB. The Jennings fumble and the inexplicable personal foul on Osi for hitting Rodgers in the head even though it was clear as day even in real time that he didn't hit Rodgers in the head.

Agreed, it is amazing how bad it has become. There is no excuse for either of those calls.

Its pathetic actually. I know they want to protect the QBs, but the worst part of the hit on Rogers is that he basically fell into another GB lineman. It was the definition of a clean hit and was still flagged. Its happened to QBs all over the league this year. There was a call in the NO-SF game (I think it was on Brees) where they flagged a guy for going after the QB's legs. I mean the defensive guy was basically knocked down to the ground, and his momentum carried him into the QB just barely touching Brees. But it was flagged.

Ironically, weren't those the only two drives where the Packers got TD's? I couldn't believe how bad those calls were.....

Close calls shouldn't be 15 yards and a first down. I'd like to think you give the benefit of the doubt to the offending player. Otherwise, we'd have penalties on every NFL play, holdings, pass interference, late hits, etc. Same thing applies to NBA.

They sure were. Those 2 calls kept the game much closer.

Maybe the refs had the over.

There was a hit on Eli where he turned right after he threw the ball and took a helmet to the chin. I was real surprised that was not flagged.

RFDC, I don't if that was the play, but on a 3rd down completion, when Fox showed the replay, about 2 seconds after the threw, Manning got hit and there was no flag.

If I remember right, it was on the last Giants scoring drive and was more suprised since it was after the Rodgers roughing the quarterback.
