Someone from the University of Miami has scored a touchdown in the NFL every single week since week 15 of 2002.

IB - please go back and assign a grade to each touchdown - I await your reply as does JK/SH

The Bears should try to sign that guy.

Devin Hester
Payton's son (Jared?)

The complete list is on the pro football reference blog. Without looking it up again, a few more names:

Andre Johnson
Ed Reed (he actually saved the streak one week)
Willis McGahee
Reggie Wayne
Jeremy Shockey

The next longest streak in history is Ohio State, which had 86 straight weeks from week 10 or 1996 to week 6 of 2001. This year, the fewest number of Hurricanes scored in a week was last week, with two. Ironically, it was the same game: Frank Gore and Reggie Wayne both scored TDs in the San Fran/Indy game.

The last time that only one Hurricane scored a TD was week 12 last year, when Ed Reed saved the streak. Before that, at least two Hurricanes scored TDs every week since week 11 of 2006. That is amazing.

I could have listed all of those names with a little more time.

Except Reed. I could have guessed for a week and not gotten him without hints. I think that's the best part that a DB saved the streak one week.

There's a few other names as well. Philip Buchanon has at least one. Najeh Davenport is on there a few times. Vinny Testaverde must have snuck one in somewhere in there. I'm sure there's a few more.

Testaverde was in there for actually scoring a TD since 2002? I assume throwing to someone else doesn't count.

I'd love to know what Iowa State's longest streak is...or if there even is a streak for them...

Throwing doesn't count, although I don't think it would matter much for Miami.

He's in three times, I think, including two consecutive weeks in 2005.

Just looking through the list, it seems that no other college team has a list currently over 15 games. Michigan State had a short streak broken at the end of last year.

So, I'm looking at "Jackson Sate - 25 games". He couldn't have scored that many games in a row, so who else was there from that tiny school?

Actually, that's really stupid on my part. It's possible that Ohio State, Michigan, USC etc. have lists shorter than their longest lists, but longer than 15 that are current. My bad.

Good to see Oregon State representin'...

I think if QB TDs thrown were included...that streak wouldn't be any longer...

iIt is a surprizing stat but if its any college it would be The U. They are a crazy NFL factory. Some guys you dont, or i dont, even remember went to Miami like Dan Morgan. USC has taken over recently from 2000-2005 It was all Miami. Did anyone mention Dorsey, the Luke Harangody of his time? Miami ohio could have a td run if Ben has a streak.

I don't think passing TDs count. Testaverde was the only QB I saw on the list, and I'm assuming his TDs were of the 1 yard sneak variety.

I think James Brooks and Lewis Tillman. Maybe some combo of the three. I think they were all about the same time.

Did Eddie Payton go there too? He returned some kicks for Cleveland.

When Vinny Testaverde was in Tampa at the start of his NFL career, he seemed to throw a lot of interceptions. He somehow became a favorite of fantasy players when he played for the likes of the Ravens, Jets & Patriots that extended his career for many years after leaving the "Creamsicle" orange of the Buccaneers in the early '90s.
