they are a great defense and the only team in the nfc that can challenge the packers in lambeau...harbaugh is coach of the year.

There's no doubt that Jim Harbaugh is the NFL Coach of the Year for what he has done in his first season in San Francisco. However, 312, but the 49ers' defense and running game won't get it done alone come playoff time.

I'm still not sold on QB Alex Smith should San Francisco have to play a road playoff game. If they go to New Orleans or Green Bay, I can't pick the Niners to win. I can't do it.

The Niners are 1 game away from doing something that has never been done before. If they can do something this week that no team has done in 10 weeks, keeping Marshawn Lynch out of the endzone, they will become the first team in NFL history to finish the regular season without allowing a rushing TD.

That would be an impressive feat, Scorehead. Marshawn Lynch may have been held to 42 yards rushing last Sunday vs. the Bears, but the Seahawks' RB still found the end zone twice and I believe he's the third Seattle running back to rush for over 1,000 yards in the history of that franchise.
