Here is your chance BD and JBills and others. You both took shots at the motivations of me and others about our questioning of Tim Tebow. I will make you an offer. If you apologize to me and the others who you wronged I will cease and desist using this thread to post your Tim Tebow thoughts and the hurtful things you said in His name. As per standard protocol, I will provide you 6 days to create your apology, and a 7th day to rest. If no apology is forthcoming I will bring down 10 plagues upon your houses.

I definitely apologize for thinking Tim Tebow was "Rex Grossman with a ring."

That was a mightily stupid statement.

I apologize for thinking Tim Tebow would beat the Patriots but I promise to go back and find this thread when Tebow is riding on a unicorn saving the human race from Mayan zombies on December 21st.

That title was transferred to Aaron Rodgers a few weeks ago.

So you are saying Rodgers is Grossman?

Pro-Tebow factions clearly won this year.

Better luck next season.

You have 6 more days to rethink this stance.

Don't get hit by the shrapnel of BD and JBills. However, I will not hesitate to bring down the hellfire and brimstone on you if needed.

I don't think many people would agree with that, but I will not get into some long drawn out discussion. Carry on.

Will new information emerge in the next 6 days that hasn't in the last 2,011+ years?

Probably not, though I guess it's possible that Elway will decide to replace Him.

In 2 months Tim Tebow did what Matt Ryan has been unable to do in 3 seasons....with a far less talented team

i would not say the tebow backers won this season...i would call it a draw thus far and next season going to make/break the draw.

Here's the way I see it... Most people in the Pro-Tebow camp hold the position that the kid has a chance to be good and is a "winner". Anti Tebow guys call him a RB and say hes the worst QB in the NFL. He took a 1-4 team, went 8-5 with a win in the playoffs. As Ken said, overall the Pro Tebow camp won this season.

The installation of Tebow at quarterback was met with derision, to be kind. He and the Denver organization were openly mocked for even attempting it.

He proceeded to take a 1-4 team to the playoffs and beat Pittsburgh in a playoff game - all the while becoming a beloved national phenomenon and role model to the children and domesticated pets of the world.

That's a win.

I wanted to wait to resurrect this thread later, but I'll give you a preview of why the Tebow haters lost.

Tim Tebow, who supposedly was a "winner", lost 4 of his last 5 games. Now, it's clear he gets credit for his 7-1 record prior to that, but there are a ton of posts from Teboners that happened after the Bears game talking about how much of a winner he was. Those are the comments that look silly. The Teboners don't get credit for saying "All he does is win" after the fact. It would be like me becoming a huge New York Giants homer and saying "All they do is win" with the advantage of knowing what has been done.

One thing is clear, Tebow is not a winner, you know, considering his record according to pro football reference is 9-7. A more accurate statement would be "All Tebow does is win 56% of the time".

As I said though, BD and JBills have 6 days to apologize or the quotes come out.

I know you are just trying to FavreFan this thread, but the Teboners didn't decide that he was a "winner" until he was in the midst of his winning ways. The fact that he lost 4 of his last 5 games is a much bigger loss for them than simply pointing out already known outcomes.

If Tim Tebow was truly a "winner" he doesn't lose all those games at the end.

I agree the winner tag is silly. But Tebow overall had a successful season, in relation to expectations.

the same people are still in both camps...if he plays much better the tebow backers will increase in number while their counterpart will decrease...that is when i will say the tebow backers have won this standoff. the wins help but his abysmal numbers can not be ignored.

But he did win a playoff game. His first home playoff game at that. He was more of a winner than Aaron Rodgers was in that regard. 8)
