Whoof. RG3 better be worth it. I'd rather have the picks.

The Colts should draft RG III just to rattle Shanahan a little.

Mike Rizzo is feeling better about his Jayson Werth signing right now.

Honestly, right now this is worse than Ditka's trade for Ricky.
If only because was a damn good back. We have no idea what RG III is gonna be.

Seriously. I can't stop.   Shanahan is a moron.

And people gave the Bears shit for giving up 2 1st round picks for a guy who was proven in the NFL. This dude may very well be a huge bust. Crazy.

I get what you're saying, but it was 2 1sts, a 2nd and a QB who was semi-proven in the NFL for Cutler.

But still. The F'n Redskins.

@ChicagoDuffer
Wanna know what would be funny? If Irsay pulled a fast one on Washington and drafted RGIII instead of Luck.

Lawyer up.

You know what? I think this is what the skins want. They want to tempt an emotionally vulnerable Irsay into drafting someone other than Luck, so they can get him themselves.

Right now this is nowhere close to better or worse than the Ditka trade. You have no clue, you're just guessing, like every other analyst and the Redskins. What if RGIII is better than Elway?

So we have no idea it this was a good or bad trade. I like the move. The Browns are going all-in. You don't see that often in the NFL and we should see it more. If RGIII is a franchise back like Brees, Rodgers, Manning, Brady, what-we-think-Cam-can-be, then it's a total bargain. There's like 6-8 true franchise QBs out there. If the Browns think they got their guy then this is a bargain for them. I guarantee Green Bay would hang up right now if someone offered them SEVEN first round picks for Rodgers.

Favre fan is drunk. The "Browns" are all in?

This is how it's worse than the Ditka trade: Would you rather trade that many picks for a guaranteed stud RB (Ricky - in hindsight) or a total prospect QB that had one good year in college (RG III)?

Obviously, in hindsight, the Ditka trade wasn't as bad.

What are the odds the Rams still get Blackmon at 6?

Yep I am drunk. But that doesn't make your position more viable. You are using the benefit of hindsight with Ricky, and even then I disagree with you. His best years were in Miami. I'm on record right now as saying this will be a better trade for the Browns then the Ricky trade was for New Orleans. That's not a high bar for Griffin to leap either.

Edit: yes I am drunk, but I don't get the mocking wink at the "all in" comment". Isn't that the perfect word to describe the trade? I think it's overwhelmingly likely that they either get a franchise QB or a bust. All-In is the perfect phrase to describe the Browns trade.

I don't understand the question.

This was a fantastic trade for Baltimore.

If the Redskins end up getting Robert Griffin, I really hope it works out well. Griffin's stock could be rising because of what Cam Newton did last year.

Why di some of you put zero as the Ram's Chances of getting Blackmon. Are Browns going to be the team that takes him.

With the Skins drafting a QB here, could buy Shanahan a couple more years there.

Schefter did say this does not take the Skins out of getting Peyton Manning.

Shanny has lost it. No way you can give up what they gave up for a draft pick. The only thing that could be dumber than the 'Skins deal would be if the Colts took RG3 with the first pick.

Precisely my thoughts one after the other.

Ditka's gonna get taken off the ol' "dumbest trade ever" mantle in short order.

Just completely unbelievable. I wonder if the billboard business will be booming in Washington this coming year.

Then I rate this move a 9.9 instead of a 10 for the Rams...still have to make it, but it would have been nice to have that guy.

Post subject:  Re: Redskins give up the farm for the #2 pick

the skins do not value draft picks and that is one of the reasons why they are no threat to win a sb anytime soon... ditka crippled the franchise with that dumb move but the hershel walker trade is the worst all time.
