First they said the Bills would get Meachem and Mario WIlliams, lost out on Meachem and possibly out on Williams.

On NFL Network, Williams may see what happens with Manning in Tennesee.

Another intresting thing, if the Bengals want to spend money, could add Mike Wallace and give up their first round pick, they have 2, would just have to be willing to spend the money.

Broncos screwed him. He would have been a starter for some team if they didn't hold onto him. Now he's forced to be a backup.

Yup, but blew out his knee last year. Certainly won't be the same this season, if ever.

I wanted Williams, but not for that type of deal.

Why? Wasn't Peppers contract 90M with 40M guaranteed or close?

True. Peppers deal is close to that. But I think Peppers was a more proven commodity at the time than Williams is. And you really do not want that much money tied up in basically one position on the team.

The only thing I can figure is that the Buffalo Bills needed a player that could be a difference maker. They think Mario Williams could be similar to Bruce Smith.

Buffalo needs players that can bring in other players. By signing Williams, they are making Buffalo a more attractive place to play.

The Bills haven't been relevant in many years, BC. In fact, they signed QB Ryan Fitzpatrick to an extension following Buffalo's hot start this past season. They might be regretting that extension.
