Im creating a new thread every year until I am right.

Seriously though, how is this looking so far for this year? Draft was good. Stafford will only improve on last season, barring injury of course. And Detroit finally completing burning to the ground.

It's sorta like predicting Cubs or Clippers success. Paper roster doesn't matter, there's clearly no legitimate threat of a championship.

Lions regress this year & finish 3rd in the division at 8-8.

More appropriate name: Matt Stafford injury countdown thread.

Possibly; though, can't you also now include Cutler as injury prone?

I don't think they will have much of a running game again with Leshoure coming back from a tough injury and Best one hit away from losing a career. They did a great job in picking Reiff but I still don't like their OL. Their defense is still weak in the back 7. They will have to continue to win games with lots of offense and they will not have the benefit of a last place schedule.

9-7 and third place.

Best division in football. I agree with GD, 9-7 and they miss the playoffs.

2012 NFC North:

1. Beloved, 13-3, Super Bowl Champs.
2. Packers, 11-5
3. Lions, 8-8
4. Vikings, 6-10

The entire NFC could finish 8-8 this year...

I think the Packers fall back a bit. The Bears get a tie-breaker division title, and the Lions have to wait until the last week of the season for an Eagles loss to the Giants and a Cowboys loss to Washington to determine their playoff fate.

HELL YEAH REGGIE BUSH.

he's gonna bring a lot of class to that organization and no doubt his ~4.2ypc and world-renown workhorse status will sufficiently exorcise the ghost of Jahvid Best, a man who truly didn't live up to the name.

Also, Mikel Leshoure. Guess they didn't wanna let him develop, eh? I didn't think RB was their problem, but hey what do I know?

Anyways, it's 2013 CLH so time to get the new thread ready.

Maybe the best signing of free agency so far.

I think he really well with them. Leshoure and Bush will be a nice tandem. However, the Lions are still all sorts of suck along the offensive line and back 7. Delmas was a Mr. Glass but when he was playing, they were a different team. Now he will be gone. Even more troubling is the dismantling of the DL. Two years ago, that group looked like something that NFC North teams would have to deal with for a decade. Now, Vandenboesch and Avril are gone and Suh seems to have lost interest in the game. The Lions have regressed to the team they were 3 years ago, an pass happy, offensive juggernaught that is going to get its QB killed. They will have to fight to stay out of last place next year and they Schwartz will be fired.

According to a report from Paula Pasche of the Oakland (Mich.) Press, Young was arrested twice in a 15-hour period last Sunday. He was pulled over at 12:01 a.m. by the Moreno Valley police in Southern California for suspicion of drunk driving, and subsequently arrested for driving under the influence. He was booked at a local detention center, was issued a citation, and was released from custody.

Ah, but we're not done yet. At 2:22 p.m. that very same day, police responded to a tow yard, where Young had been seen jumping over the fence. He was trying to find his black Mustang, which had been impounded upon his first arrest of the day. Young was taken to the same detention center and booked for trying to steal his own car.
