I say yes, Spanky says no. Discuss.

I say yes. Probably somewhere around 10th best. They are a very good football team. They are closer to the 2011 49ers than the 2011 Buffalo Bills.

They are. I still think they are extremely lucky to be 4-1...but they are in the top half of the league.

They could easily be 5-0.

I don't think they are as good as some people are making them out to be, but they are without question 1 of the top 50% of the teams in the NFL.

Is there something I need to know? I mean, do I need to worry about Mrs. CIJ being jealous or anything? :shock: :?

Absolutely. And they have either Kirk Cousins or a "mildly" concussed RGIII this weekend.

The Redskins are insane if they play RGIII this weekend.

Yep. I'm cool with him missing as much time as necessary. It's not worth it this season. Though, from what I'm reading, it sounds like Shanny doesn't give a shit and will trot him out there Sunday.

Which was kinda my whole point when we had this conversation: aside from one game, the Vikings have probably had the easiest schedule in the entire NFL to this point. If they get to face a team led by Cousins, that trend continues....

I'm comfortable predicting that MInnesota will not be a playoff team at the end of the year.

They were terrible for 3 quarters against Indy. If it was a decent team, they wouldn't have been in the running for the 4th quarter.

They have been lucky.

They will not make the playoffs.

Spanky is right.

It's hard to say if the Laurence Holmes-looking Les Frazier and his Vikings are still all that legit, even though they raised a lot of eyebrows when they knocked off the 49ers on their home field a few weeks ago. Right now, it's a wait & see.

That is not true at all. Are you saying all black people look alike, SHARK?

I look forward to seeing the Bears beat the Vikings 2 times this year.

No. Those 2 look very much alike.

@Washington
vsArizona
vsTampa Bay
@Seattle
vsDetroit
@Chicago
@Green Bay
vsChicago
@St. Louis
@Houston
vsGreen Bay

They could easily lose 7 of those remaining games, and I wouldn't be shocked if it ended up being more than that.

You really say "easily lose" in today's NFL? Have you watched any games this year?

They could easily win 7 of those remaining games. They have a great chance to be 7-1 going into Seattle.

Maybe the lovechild of Laurence Holmes & CBS Sports/NFL Network's Solomon Wilcots. Mac should bring that back!

They could. But they'd still have a great chance of losing 6 of the 8 games after that. Or more.

That still might put them in the playoffs.

I think you rate Chicago and Green Bay higher than I do. I think Minnesota is better than Green Bay and just a notch below Chicago. I think they will go 2-2 in those four games.

"Easily lose" meaning "I wouldn't be shocked in the least" if they lost twice to GB, twice to CHI, Houston, @Seattle........that leaves only one loss to one of the remaining teams to be 7 losses.

I didn't mean they would get blown out in those games.

Let's not forget the Bears a year ago started the season 7-3 before bellyflopping badly after Jay Cutler & Matt Forte were both injured. The Vikings should enjoy this right now. It might be a mirage we're looking at up there, too.

Good points, SHARK.
But that won't happen to the Vikings because their RB never gets hurt and they have a long-time, proven QB at the helm.

Spanky, Christian Ponder isn't Jay Cutler and Adrian Peterson isn't Matt Forte. Let's not forget that A.P. tore his ACL in last year's second to last game vs. the Redskins, whom Minnesota faces this weekend.

Also, Patrick Duffy is not Bob Saget, per SHARK.

Yeah, that's what I was trying to get at SHARK. I just suck at humor.

Again, I don't think they are a playoff team. The schedule gets tougher, not all of the teams under them in the NFC are gonna keep sucking, etc.

Who is a better team right now? Minnesota or Arizona?
