As DJ World Peace!

A foot injury has kept Cedric Benson from the football field in recent weeks, but nothing will keep the running back from spinning the hottest songs on the turntables. Benson has been on injured reserve after suffering a Lisfranc injury against the Colts in Week 5. But in his time away from the field, Benson has apparently been launching a second career as a professional DJ, as is evident by his personal website www.djworldpeace.com. DJ World Peace, as Benson is known in the music scene, has spent the past month or so dropping hot tracks in and around the Austin, Texas area — a hobby that appears to have started during the offseason. There’s no indication as to how many events or where the 29-year-old Benson is spinning each week. A quick scope of his Facebook page tells us that strip clubs make up at least some of his clientele, as he performed at the Yellow Rose, a gentleman’s club in Austin on Nov. 6. That venue is of even more interest considering that his most recent post on the page, which he updated on Monday, just reads “Save the Children 2013.” Seems a bit ironic. Whether or not this is Benson’s new career choice is uncertain, but it couldn’t have come at a more opportune time as his football career could very well be over. Benson can be activated off the Packers’ injured reserved list in Week 14, but season-ending surgery may kill that dream, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, as his foot injury continues to linger.

Agree and it pisses me off that the Bears couldn't find that out!

Talent wise, I can't argue with what he did at Texas. I see what Angelo and his staff saw on film, but as an observer of punks in society, before you drop $20 Mill, you better make sure you are not drafting one of them! I question what personality checks they did, etc.

Also, a majority of these guys from the Bears scouting crew are still in Phil Emery's treehouse! Just with promoted tags!

Who do you think you would have taken at 4 in the 05 draft without the benefit of hindsight?

Aaron Rodgers... Really I would have taken Frank Gore.

I never wanted Benson, never agree with drafting a back that high...at the time I wanted the bears to trade down and grab Logan mankins....in hindsight Aaron Rodgers...funny how the teams that win super bowls draft quality players while the bears draft scrubs.

Derrick Johnson was my guy that year, however I recognized the need at the time and would have taken Cadillac. I never understood how he wasn't the better option.

Why was that a need? Thomas Jones was a good back for them at that time.
